What about an opposite flex putting up a lower banner than your level to make your opponent think you aren’t as good? Some psych ops.
Great minds...

I rocked my CS banner for a few days the first time I ever made it because I was proud as hell. Same thing for the first and only time I made WS- rocked it for like a week and then decided it was cheesy.
Fly whatever banner you like, screw the haters.

No one should be ashamed of any level they reside in.

Luckily, it seems like the community has been better this year and more helpful to everyone regardless of skill. I’ve noticed a lot of people on here genuinely answering questions and taking the time for other people.
The Show and Diamond Dynasty are hands down the best “Team building” game there is. SDS is also as good as it gets at giving back. Compare them to 2k and it’s comical how shady 2k is.
Been really glad to be a part of this community for the last few years.
Can you help me understand the difference with 2K? I’m genuinely asking because I never played any “team building” game until this game came out; so I’ve been giving 2K a thought. Can you tell me what it’s like compared to this game?
-
You do you, I haven’t got past CS this year either. I’m rocking the mint condition nameplate for now. Looks clean.

That might work until your win/loss record shows on screen. But if your opponent hist x as soon as the game starts and skips by it, then your in business!

Theoretically that doesn't have to mean anything either. Let's say hypothetically I'm a sweat boy who only cares about his record, and I am an above average player. I start playing RS for the first time when the majority is already in CS/WS for season 1 and I just go to town on people in the lower divisions. I play until I reach 700. Then I stop playing because I might run into some competition, but I do have the WC banner. Next season I drop back down, I play just enough games to not go over 700, OR, I don't play at all which will drop me even lower next season. Then I'll start playing again in the lower levels until 700 or so. Rinse and repeat for 6 or 7 months, and I could theoretically have a record of 100-0. But I'll probably lose some games for whatever reason so for the sake of hypothesis, let's say the record will be 80-5 That's a pretty scary sight, isn't it? Despite me not facing any 700+ competition all year.
Moral of the story; record don't mean a thing.
-
A banner can say a lot. Most WS players dont use their WS banner for example. Most people who use the WS banner are just glad they ever made WS. Now hanging a CS banner? That is either a good WS player trying to throw off their opponent, or someone thankful that they only made it to CS.
-
Any average player with good team can make WS.
BR is brutal the achievement isn't going 12 - 0 it's coming out the other end and having your sanity intact.

Well obviously, if you want to break it down. I was just making a quick humorous remark in the tone of the post I was replying to.

2k is a great game.
It is also an extreme grind and leans very heavily into microtransactions. If you want to be competitive, prepare to spend A LOT of money. SDS on the other hand is very generous with their content and items. A player just getting into diamond dynasty now could be competitive within a week or two with out any real money spent. So refreshing compared to 2k (or Madden, or FIFA for that matter)

With 2k, you could literally spend 10 grand a year on the game, and unless you always spend every week, still not have an end game team that compares to some you’ll see towards the end. It’s the worst experience of any sports game in history. And the people associated and employed by 2k are as cringe worthy as it gets.
The 2k fan base is starting to turn on the game. Just go to 2kgamer and read for yourself. People are sick of it.

Yeah, what you said was enough to convince me. The reason I was so pleasantly surprised with Diamond Dynasty was that I didn’t have to spend money (but I did because I appreciated the game so much and literally wanted to support the company for not being so overtly greedy).

Yeah, I’m cool off 2K then. That’s the main reason why I stopped purchasing (and stopped playing) Madden completely. Thanks.

Eh, if you’re an NBA fan, and just want to play franchise offline or something, it’s still a fun game. If you want to go online and have any semblance of competitiveness though, it’s a money suck.

Pennant race banner with the mlb the show noob hat as an icon for that silent flex

The cat shooting lasers out of it's eyes is a banner that scares my opponents into submission.
