Game experience vs Winning?

Who plays for quality gaming experience and who plays to that W?? Which is more important to you?? Sound off!
-
I mean why can't the answer be both?

I tell ya. I played two games this morning.
1st RS Both of us were ranked around 800, he had a perfect game going into 5th with a 1-0 lead. I hung in there and won 3-1, but he was a great opponent, it was a fun game, i would have been fine losing that one as it was a great experience.
Went into a casual game after to try a new pitcher. Matched up with a WS player. I had a few hits including a 3 run homer off the guy in the first. He was home and second batter his CAP, some 7 foot goon named Jesus Christ starts bunt dancing. I immediately quit, didn’t care i was up, May have done the same in RS. Not wasting my time with that type a guy as it will be an awful experience.

Most definitely game experience, not even close.

I faced a guy who brought in a 100mph submarine throwing midget... I feel ya...

I enjoy winning , but I want a game that actually doesn’t allow rng to decide who ultimately wins.

Getting my teeth kicked in isn't fun, but as long its my opponent doing it and not the game, I'll get over it. So experience.
-
IDK, in the end it's just a game I suppose

I’m going to quote my fellow San Diego State Aztec, Herm Edwards:
“You. Play. To. Win. The. Game. Hello?!?!!”
I mean, I understand what the people on this thread are saying. They all win a lot of games, though, so it might be easy to say that.
But hear me out: if this game ran smooth as hell at all times and everyone played straight up and there were no cheesers, and every other thing that compromises “quality of gameplay” was remedied, and I had a .500 or below winning percentage, I wouldn’t play.

I second this. If the game is a good one, I’m satisfied!

I love the "fellow San Diego State Aztec Herm Edwards" reference! You. play. to. win. the. game. Hello!?!? Not a lot of more memorable quotes than that one.
Speaking of the Aztecs, tonight is the opener against UNLV. Go Aztecs!

Ultimately it’s about the experience. Ideally, for a sports game, that’s just a clean, competitive game where the best man wins at the end.
The outcome doesn’t matter, so long as the integrity of competition is maintained in getting to that outcome.
-
I play for prestige stats, I love it.

But yeah, I quit those games myself. Losses really mean nothing to me. I enjoy the animations and playing a good game.

Game experience because if you try and be competitive this years game will just beat you senseless. Since this years game is affected by DDA just like 18 imo i have decided to build a great yankee team (anyone who has ever played for them counts) and just have fun with it.
