The only time I don't use x is two strikes with the pitcher up, then I'll contact swing to try for a few foul balls.

same. Got a hit with newhouser yesterday on a contact swing.

I do it too, but instantly regretted it last night. I was using Pearson and got around perfectly on an inside pitch, but it was a can o’ corn because I used contact swing

Only two times I don't use X. If I'm 95%+ positive where the pitch is coming and I don't have a great power hitter I'll use square. By 95%+ positive, I mean I've figured out that the guy is throwing fastball, breaking ball sequence in the same spots over and over. I've hit HR this way with non-power, under 70, guys multiple times. If I'm down 0-2 in the count and I've got a runner at third, I'll use contact swing. Also, I'll do the same if it's late down 0-2 and I've got a speed guy up. Otherwise, it's X the rest of the time.
