Is his bat that bad?

Cobb looks lethal.

I raked with him last yearYeah he's bad. But if you raked with him last year, then by all means pick him. To me he's just as bad as last year but with better attributes, so in that case he will be just as good to you but with better attributes.

Foxx = Perfect hits...and passed balls. I-Rod is still my catcher and I have Foxx at his primary position, first base.

Cobb can start in left or is an outstanding off the bench option to hit, run, or even add some speed in the OF if you need it. Pudge's D is probably worth it alone, but I agree, his lack of pop is suspect. Most of my pudge hits are/were oppo gappers to right. He seems to have just enough power to line out directly to the outfielders but not quite enough to consistently hit bullets by them. I also hit way more home runs with Posey vs. righties and Torre. It's kind of weird. I feel like he should be better, on paper he looks gross.

IMO, Cobb is the best in the pack. He has the Bomber quirk so he still hits a lot of home runs. His speed and bunting are INSANE! If he's on 1st base, he'll easily steal 2nd and 3rd.
I bought the other two and Pudge is still my starting catcher, he hits well for me and his defense is unbelievable. No one under 90 can steal off of him, (at least in my experience.) Honestly, you're not making a mistake with either pick, they're both amazing. Just depends on what your team needs most.

I agree that Cobb is the play here
