I’ll go Tatis
Not even a full season under his belt. Nor is he even the best player on his team nor the best SS in his division.
The most obvious choice is Justin Verlander for the last 3 years. Currently its Freddie Freeman or DJ Lemahieu
Agree to disagree. If I’m a GM and want to build a team around a player not named Trout, It’s Tatis, Acuna or Soto. LeMahieu can be argued and Freeman is solid but no way part of the conversation. Acuna wayyyyy ahead of him
Sorry but Freeman is definitely in the conversation. He’s not flashy but look at his numbers bro. A few hall of famers have said they expect him to be in Cooperstown when his career is over

Acuna is not ahead of Freddie. Freddie is a smart hitter with a great glove. Acuna is a showboat and can't touch a high fastball. Just like a young AJ, but AJ couldn't touch a curve. This is coming from a true Braves fan.

I’m a big Trevor Story and Nolan Arenado fan, of course. But this is how I see it:
Trout is No. 1. Soto is probably the best pure hitter not named Trout (maybe is anyway). Betts is probably the best all-around player not named Trout.
Last year at this time, Yelich and Bellinger would have had a case to argue. But watch for Acuna, Tatis and Robert in the future.
Best pitcher, give me deGrom. Let’s see Bieber do it a little longer.

I go with acuna as well.

If I’m starting a franchise today I might consider starting it with Robert
Robert who can’t touch a slider.
-
Mookie imo

That's something you can learn though. Bellinger couldn't hit a slider early on either and evolved into the NL MVP the next season. What matters is potential and Robert arguably has the most in all of MLB, he has all the tools and nobody knows what his ceiling will be.

Nolan arenado

Right now it's Trout then Mookie

When healthy, Judge should be part of this conversation.

Good luck with that. Dude is just too big for baseball, him and Stanton can't stay healthy and rarely have for an entire season.

I would agree, it's just that he's never healthy

The Market says:
- Verlander - 169,999 Buy Now
- DeGrom - 164,880
- Trout - 158,500
So... according to this... Trout isn't even the best player. The question should have been "Best player not named Verlander".
The Market has spoken.
The market really is weird right now.
First time I’ve seen Trout not being most expensive LS card in 5 years
Would have to agree!
