Could there be a signature SP Ruth?

My fault. I misread the post

Could be wrong but from what I recall, once a player has a Prime, Awards or SS Card, that's their best card for the year.

I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure once a players gets a 99 that is it for him. Ruth IS special though in that he could have a pitcher card. But no, and I wouldn't even want it if he couldn't play every game as a hitter.

WTF would a sig Ruth be a 95? Hes the definition of a 99.
He wasn’t lights out as a pitcher. Had a couple dominant years, but nothing equal to a 99. Pitcher overall doesn’t take into account their hitting stats, hence why McKay is only a 98 overall.

See my edit above. It was my mistake.

True, but I feel like there could be an exception here. My reference is always going to be Smoltz, but Ruth is a guy who truly deserves two different versions, even if nobody would really use his pitcher card.

I think there almost definitely will be but it won’t be as popular as the current card. If you look at his card last year he was maxed out offensively. This current card isn’t fully maxed out offensively but gets up to the 99 partly because his defense is much better than his previous cards. What makes his current card so great is the first base secondary. Last year his bat was amazing but he was a liability in your lineup defensively. This year he is perfect at first base. If they do a signature to match last year the offense will be better but he probably won’t be as usable without the first base secondary.

Edited the title for my post, I meant a SP signature. I think he should have had maxed out hitting stats anyways, but that’s just me.

I have done 37 of the 39 games for Ruth. Decided I am fed up with the grind. LOL. Just kidding, but I have put off the last two games, two 6 inning American League Division games, for about a week. Partly because of the Tatis program though. Ya, I am even like, WTF dude! Those are not even the hard ones!

Ruth is now on the team! Won last two games, 6-2 against American League East, then Maddox got a shut out for me with a 2-0 win over the American League Central.
