This is not anything new by any means and we have all experienced this to some extent, but I just really wanted to share this because this is really one of the tougher losses I've taken all year and probably also in many years prior. Of course I'm not playing for anything this late in the year, but it feels like it perfectly sums up MLB The Show 19.

I was on a good run in BR playing for 10-0. Hitting the ball, practically cruising through it. Beaten a few good players on the way. Then this happens.

I know it's BR and All-Star randomness and all of the other arguments we've heard over and over again. But this just leaves a very bad taste in my mouth and makes me not want to play this game again until launch day of MLBTS 20.

That's a tough loss to take, especially if Vizquel takes you deep to walk it off, but it does seem like he squared it up unlike my opponent. And then all those 15s I had, it's just hard to process what I can do more to prevent that from happening. Truth is, there isn't.

I am the king of giving up HR's on "okay" swings. Feels like a slow pitch softball game on 200 ft fences.

Mine isn't quite as bad, and I ended up winning the game, after 5 innings, but it's sad we all have these pictures loaded with great PCI placement for outs.
I just play franchise on legend, w/ the speeds up to practice now. Maybe a game or two of BR, but RS gets too messy.

Maybe you need backstory, you see my score there? 3 runs, over half of my outs were on [censored] that were completely covered by the pci and with good timing... I counted, another one of his 2 runs came from bloop hits, I'm pretty sure even if the game was treating my hitting so poorly, if he scored the amount that he should've then I still would've won, this was the perfect storm of almost everything I hit hard being caught and him getting every little thing to go his way

Ah okay, I didn't know that because that wasn't included in the video. But yeah that's tough for sure.

I still wish they'd explain the analysis completely. I've seen [censored] that weren't swung at register 15's. I've often wondered if the analysis I see post game is the same as the other player. We know in game you can't always trust the PCI feedback.

Without watching what happened that was a tough pill to swallow given the circumstances especially. Did you notice much by the way of poor connection issues during the game? BR played funny on AS all year. Events on AS weren't nearly as frustrating.

19 in a nutshell was just over kill on the backend. HR/9 gets incorporated, never got tuned right, and then just got scrapped. There definitely wasn't much consistency during the year.

I'm excited for 20 after playing the beta, hopefully launch is right on par where they had it. Given it wasn't an Alpha I feel like that should hold true. Launch for 18 and 19 was considerably different after both Alphas.

I hear you, but no I actually hit all those [censored] hard except for 1 of the 2 thirtheens in there, that was a late swing groundball and was obviously a deserving out. Everything else was smoked, either good timing or just early and just lined to the outfield or died just in front of the wall. Every. Single. One.

The game on allstar is a dice roll. The worst players have beaten me and have been out inputted by a vast landslide. There is no user skill on allstar and below period. HOF take SOME skill. The real game is on legend. I really hope this changes.

Also, it's not just me not getting rewarded for perfect input that bothers me. It's also my opponent being able to score 4 runs on trash input like that which multiplies my frustration to over 9000.

I'm not a BR guy but gave it a couple runs this year before swearing off it. How you BR guys stomach the unbridled frustration that goes along with playing on a hyper-RNG AS difficulty is beyond me. I procrastinate the start of any new RS in AS difficulty as it is, and it isn't nearly as insane or random as BR.

Yeah that's true, often times I can shrug it off when I take an undeserving loss in BR. That's just how BR is set up. But every once in a while a game comes along where it's just so bad and so obvious it becomes too hard to not get frustrated. This was a prime example.

It requires you to be able to tolerate tons of stupid losses

And people jumped all over me for saying that this year was worse than last year's version.

And also good players in here sharing their frustrations with gameplay....wow, imagine that.

I don't agree with that statement, this game is bad at times but not nearly as atrocious as MLB The Show 18.

I don't think most people in that whole previous thread that debated 2018 versus 2019 said that 2019 had great gameplay.. Just because the majority think 2018 was worse doesn't = them saying 2019 was good. You are arguing something that isn't there.
