8th Inning Showdown is Cruel

I know it must be Kershaw in the final, so I build the best right-handed power lineup I can, only to get a surprise elimination round right before the final against diamond Ian Anderson (rightie). I lose 4-4. Ouch.

I just skipped the elimination one right before the final, didn't seem worth it, you don't get more runs, just another diamond player for the finale from it.

That is a great idea, thanks. I'm starting the Showdown over and definitely skipping that elimination game right before the end. -

I almost lost this one to Anderson, Canha hit a bomb in the final out for me to win 5-4, him and Suzuki have been my secret weapons.

Same lol, I beat Kershaw up with ty Cobb...I want him as well now

I also skipped the extra boss as it didnt give me any runs toward the final. I can live without the 2 BiaH packs.

That is a great idea, thanks. I'm starting the Showdown over and definitely skipping that elimination game right before the end.You need to score 5 runs starting with the bases loaded IIRC? Not exactly a tall order imo.

I was going to skip it, but I decided to risk it because you actually get two diamond cards, a diamond perk, and 2 BIAH packs. That’s a pretty good haul when all you need is 5 runs and you start with the bags gazoingled.
I’m a very average (ok ok ok... very below average) hitter and I finished after only recording 1 out. If I get bored and repeat this showdown I’ll definitely do it the same way.

I risked it because I needed 8 runs to beat Kershaw anyway, it was a low risk move for me, I got Chipper and Daniel Murphy out of that last henchmen. Those two hit 3 HR combined. I beat him with Murphy, it was worth it

I finish these showdowns first try just about every inning, with that being said, this one is giving me trouble for some reason.
Hitting feels dead too.
