I wish I only had to pay seventy dollars. The Digital Deluxe edition is $150 dollars here in Australia.
I think the digital deluxe is $100 here but if I do preorder I’ll get the cheapest one that still has early access, which I believe is $70
Only 99$ and higher have early access.

I preordered anyway. I got some really good feedback from a few people on here that played the beta, so I based my decision off that. I also devoured all the feedback in the forum at the time.
Oh, and I don't get early access due to the region I'm in.

That is false.

I’m sharing the same hesitation, OP.

No I got the $70 one and it listed early access when I made my purchase

here's my thoughts. what else will I do with my down time. I finish work at 3 I like to come home play a little BR/event or knock out moments. not big into binge watching shows. night time when I'm not playing or coaching ball/ golf I throw sports on the TV and play RS friendlies etc...... after playing the beta I felt like the game is moving in the right direction creating a skill gap. I guess you have to ask yourself what will I do with all the extra free time.
-
Check the PSN store listing carefully - the Australian store regular edition $76 lists early access as a pre order perk as well. The US one might also?

In my opinion, if you want them to fix gameplay, the last thing you should be doing is preordering. There is no motivation to fix things when people are blindly throwing money at them. Same reason I tell franchisers and RTTS guys that they should only buy every other year.
-
I'd say go ahead and get the pre-order. $70 for a year's worth of entertainment. I'm with you on those concerns and wanting to spend less time on '20. They're really selling this "skill gap" concept though, so there is a reason to be somewhat optimistic. Also, regardless of the gameplay, IMO, you don't wanna walk away before you see what they do with the next generation being multi-platform, PS5, etc, etc. Now, if the game is garbage AGAIN, then it's fair to walk away. It's got enough value, for me, to stick around a bit longer and see what's up. I'd just highly recommend keeping some balance and not getting invested right away, until you see what you're looking for.

For me is just waiting for the game to be released.... i enjoy baseball and more than that , love baseball... watching the games , reading the articles , playing the video game and taking a bat with a tennis ball agaisnt my brother and see who scores more runs while trying to striking out the other... it is not a big deal to decide when or if not buy a video game . In my case is about how would i get the 70$ dollars for preordering when this week is that i will start working after a month unemployed and a couple of responsabilities

I am always on the fence until after I have seen all of the streams. I think it will come down to the DD stream for me. As I always say, there is no real benefit to pre-ordering the digital version really early. I can wait until a day or two before Early access and still get the same benefits (minus use of the Baez card in 19 which I did not care about)

Pre-ordered Day 1 baby

For me, it's not whether I will buy the game or not. I always do. It's whether I want to play DD. Like you said, who wants to do the grind all over again. Some like it I guess. Not me. I like to jump on and play, not grind against the cpu for months.
I may just play online rated and/or check out the new online franchise mode. -
Setting aside all the issues at release in the past, there is something exciting about the new season--setting up a new team, going over new content, etc. Playing people with golds and low level diamonds is also a nice break from playing god squads. Overall, the pre-order, for me, is more so an experience than anything else.
I'm going to avoid playing moments out the gate. I wasted a lot of time early in 2019 trying to grind those broken moments.
The other thing to avoid is buying cards and packs out the gate. Most cards are heavily inflated early. I'm just going to grind with whatever pre-order cards I obtain. I might just put together a competitive silver / gold squad and see how far it takes me.
I'm thinking of using the initial stockpile of stubs to put together a good BR team, but we'll see. The other option would be grinding to world series right out the gate, but I don't plan on buying stubs or cards, so that might be hard. Nevertheless, that component of strategy is what makes early MLB the Show so much fun.

I’d ask a few of your buddies wether they think it’s good gameplay or not. On Day 1 this will be regarded as the greatest game ever. It always is. Plus it doesn’t really matter if the game “starts” out well, it can easily be butchered through complaints as the year rolls on. The current state certainly isn’t the best so your damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

I’m really on the fence about this. I play mlb because I love baseball and it’s the only video game I’m good at. But rn I just really can’t justify spending $70 on a game when there’s no guarantee of good gameplay. Really feel that I spent too much time on 19 and I don’t wanna repeat that in 20. Anyone else sharing my lack of excitement for mlb 20?
On one hand I want to play and have an elite record (with less games played) but I also just really don’t have a good feeling about gameplay after being excited for the new games for the last 2 years, only to be disappointed with the gameplay at launch
No interest at all.
When I get the itch to play baseball, I'll just throw in '19. Have another conspiracy theory to work on regarding collections but I still need probably at least 750k stubbs so it might be a while. So I will just work on 19 collections while most other people play 20.

If you take that logic about the last 2 and were disappointed, then the lack of that excitement sbolded texthould be good gameplay this year..See the logic?.Hope that made sense.

I'm also on the fence. I'm skeptical that they fixed the balance between rng and user input as much as they claim to have. However, as much as I complained about last year's game I played it for hours and hours...

Imo DD has a lot of ppl feeling burnt it’s the same exact thing year after year just woven different. Custom league is going to be a breath of fresh air for many since it’s less time consuming.
