He played Jackie Robinson in the movie, 42, and died on Jackie Robinson day. I was looking forward to him in Black Panther 2. You will be missed by all. RIP

It boggles my mind when a young person dies of cancer. So many deaths this year. It's sad.

Think he basically fought stage 3 and 4 cancer in silence too. Not many were aware he was sick.
He lost a bunch of weight, and when photos surfaced on the internet, I remember a lot people making fun of him for his weight.
Always treat people well, you never know what they’re going through..

I beat cancer for a second time this spring and I’m only 37. Beat stage 4 when I was 25 and stage 2 more recently. Cancer is a [censored]

Agreed about 2020 this year is a gut punch, it just keeps coming. Hardest year i can remember going through for sure.

He was an incredible actor but more importantly an incredible person. I was kind of floored by this news last night.
This is a interview he had for Black Panther and it shows how much he carred in general. I agree never judge someone without giving them a chance because like you said everyone is going through somthing.

I was camping all weekend and came back to the news. I love 42 and Jackie is my end-game 2b every year. Chadwick did a wonderful job and it's just gutting to hear the news. RIP.

I had heard that he was a great person. Just tragic that we lost a young, outstanding actor, and person.
The best thing is that he still acted during this. That had to be hard to act during that. And he was 43. I think it might have been worse if he was 42. It had to be hard to not tell the public. Then again, probably better than telling everyone. -
I was really shocked about Chadwick Boseman's death. I had no idea that he was fighting cancer, another great actor taken from us too soon. What I really admired about him was that he gave back to Anderson, SC, where he was from. Not every celebrity has that kind of compassion and generosity.
RIP Chadwick Boseman. Rest easy, Avenger.
