I am World Series. You can too.

I’m going to make a list of all the things I did to make it to World Series. Some may help you. Some may not. But the most important thing is that you know that I made it to World Series.
- Somehow make it to the 800’s.
- Before each game, practice hitting against Billy Wagner on Legend.
- Stop practicing after 5 minutes because you can’t freaking hit Billy Wagner on Legend.
- Be the home team.
- Have Mantle, Ruth, Dibble, Hersheiser, and other very good players.
- Strike out a lot. (Hitting not pitching).
- Keep your hits for each game under 5 (Hitting not pitching)
- Beg your pitchers to stop missing their spots.
Also 8. Get all of your wins on walkoffs in the last inning after being outhit all game. - Make it to 886 three times and lose.
- Miraculously get two consecutive disconnect wins to get to 898.
- Give up a game tying homerun in the top of the 9th to Larry Freaking Walker in the 898 game.
- Pause and literally cry for about a minute.
- Win on a duck snort over first base in the 12th that scores Your 47 speed Stan Musial from second.
Anyway. If you do most of these things, I don’t see why you can’t be a World Series Champion Hero just like me.

You are not wrong, my friend. As I mentioned at the beginning, the most important thing I wanted people to take away from this was that I made it to World Series- a feat that I am in complete disbelief that it actually happened. It was honestly, just a string of very good luck. All the bad things that usually happen to people playing ranked, happened to my opponents. Having said that, I’m still just tickled pink that I made it.

Congrats on making it and kudos for your honesty. Don't mind a flex when you admit it was one.

Thanks, man. It’s nice to be able share your success with people who actually know what you’re talking about. I tried to tell my coworkers but I think they just judged me for still playing video games at my age.

Ha, who cares what other people think though. Keep doing your thing if it brings you joy.

This is the funniest and realist post I've seen on here. Good stuff.

So, I think if you finish the season, above 700, it starts you back at 700 the next season. That is actually huge. Since this season is almost over, if you can make it to 700, stop and pick up there next season. That’s what I did the season before. I knew if I kept playing, I’d end back up in the 500’s.
Edit: hoboadam helped me out. He said making it to 700 starts you out at 600. That sounds right.
-
900+ gets you to 700.
800+ gets you 650.
700+ is 600. -
Congrats bud, it’s an awesome feeling the first time you hit WS. Who you taking from that WS choice pack?

700+ is 600.Thanks. Yeah that sounds right. I wouldn’t think making it to 700 makes you start at 700, but I couldn’t remember.

You have to make it to 800 to start above 700, below 8 starts at 550

I did #12 and I ran my timer out.

I had to pick Rickey Henderson. He is my favorite player of all time. I’m sure Chris Sale is the smarter pick, but it was always going to be Rickey.

I learned a long time ago that the sentimental pick is not always the best pick.
And This year the game reminded me again with Mariano. Biggest letdown to me in DD history.
I picked Rickey last year and regretted it.
One more lesson learned; if you are bad with a card at a lower OVR chances are you will be just as bad with a better version of that card.
All that being said, I hope it goes well for you with Rickey. -

I mentioned this somewhere before, but I’m afraid his boost in power will turn his sinking liners for hits into line outs. It seems like low powered hitters get different hit types that those with more power.
