Good PCI/Good Swing problems
-
Good PCI placement and good swings mean nothing in this game. I find myself losing games to people who swing early(yellow) to pitches down and away and still hit the ball out of the park but I get perfect/perfect and fly out to the warning track or ground out to the SS. This is beyond frustrating

Games rigged man lol

It's also fitting your icon is crash bandicoot...the first game to implement "dynamic difficulty"

Are you power swinging or regular swinging more often? Some pitches are better to hit with a power swing than a regular swing, and vice-versa. It also depends on the player you're batting with.

Regular swing all the time to be honest.

it's a DD thing. this type of stuff doesn't happen as often or consistently in play now or online franchise with regular MLB teams.
It has something to do with the juiced pitching stats and or it's rigged.

It might be best to try and use power swing every once in a while. Try power swinging by sitting in one area of the strike zone, and swinging when the pitcher throws one right down the middle. I've gotten extra base hits with curveballs or sliders this way, but a heater is your best bet to start off.
It could also depend on the count. Sometimes I'll blow a 3-0 count by swinging at a strike and flying out. Yesterday I took a 2-0 pitch for a strike that was in the upper-middle part of the zone, and began looking to see if he threw something similar. He throws another heater in the lower part of the zone and I crush it. So patience is key, and if you drive up his pitch count, he's gonna make more mistakes and throw you more pieces of cake.
I also recommend using custom practice mode. Bat against pitchers with stats that you struggle with (I tend to be late on pitchers that have high velocity stats, for example). Play around with it some and see how you do.
Zone hitting can have some PCI bugs. The first time I bat in every game, I turn the PCI off, go back to the game a couple seconds, and then turn the PCI back on. Kind of resets the zone hitting.
It might also help to check and make sure your controller isn't suffering from stick drift, where the left and right sticks will get minds of their own. Controller replacement is necessary if that's the case, and be sure to get a new one and not a used one from Gamestop (those have stick drift).
Hope this helps!

Thanks, most of the time my PCI placement and swings are good. I just get unlucky way too often IMO.

No problem. My info is based on MLB 18 and 19 hitting, because I heard that MLB 20's hitting was broken and never picked it up, lol. But I hope it helps in some capacity.

https://youtu.be/PfFmuEM68rAAnd that right there is why I never picked up this year's game. Who wants a game that's based off of RNG and not skill... makes no sense. Saved myself a lot of brain cells by sticking with MLB 19 and not getting MLB 20.

Youtube video just explain how this game is bad
-
Hopefully this won't be a problem next year. I just learned I'm missing out on a Signature Series Alan Trammell this year

https://youtu.be/PfFmuEM68rAOk, so I'm not doing anything wrong and I don't suck? I've gotten Good/Perfect swings on balls that just don't go anywhere and this is with the MVP Ruth and Musial. The ball used to be a guaranteed home run on a perfect swing...now it's just a [censored] pop up.
