Day Games...why
-
Someone who plays day games explain this to me. And let me be clear, this isn’t a troll post saying you suck if you do it - to each their own. I just don’t get it: the thing you are trying to see/hit is white, so one would think the darker the backdrop the better. Plus no shadows.
Is it a strategy - you are used to it, and assume your opponent is a soft scrub like me who can’t handle it? Is it Quirks?
No judgment on anyone who does it - I just want to understand the logic.

11 AM and 1 PM are usually fine. It’s 4 PM where the shadows really mess things up at some parks. I personally play at the early times because I like how daytime baseball looks and feels.

I second this I don’t like the shadow at 4pm and beginning of 7pm games

7pm October is the best.. no issues seeing the ball from the first to the last pitch

Always my choice.
-
I made a mistake of picking a 7pm summer game at Laughing Mountain (I think it was LM) Guy threw a lefty and I could not see a thing until the ball was on me, on the flip side the pitches from the righty side seemed to be pretty well shaded...

Yeah, just sometimes you end up playing in fog.. ha
-
Depends on the cards I am using, and what their perks are. Some play better during day games, and some play better during night games. I usually like August 1pm overcast.

Still better than being blinded by shadows and glare in the wrong stadium
-
Two things come to mind for me.
- Its the default setting and I dont want to change it.
- a lot of my players have the day perk so, may as well roll with it.
-
PSA: That glare in Target Field, make sure it’s cloudy or overcast!
-
I usually play at night just because I like night games, but afternoon games don't really bother me.
-
Most people play during the day because the don’t bother to change the defaults they just hit submit and play. I was like this for a long time because I couldn’t be bothered by changing it every game to be a night game. This year however, the game is saving your choice unless an update comes out in which case you have to re- input your game time preferences before the start of the game.

I played a game at camden Yards at I think 4 and you couldnt see the ball at all if it was up in the zone unit it was to late. Some times it is to an advantage but I'm not sure how

There might be a way to play with the contrast on the screen... I have played against some guys lately who seem to really really go seriously hard in these games and seemingly do anything to get an edge... Wouldn't surprise me.
