I think they nerfed SP stamina too much

I have actually started only using him a RP because I hate and never use him as a SP. I agree though but my concern was Smoltz not recovering fully after 4 games then I used him got 5 inns now I won't be able to use him for 5 games.

What if... The stamia 50% thing was only after the first 2 innings... I didnt read this thread before posting.

Not gonna lie, it’s better than seeing Kluber every single game or being used as a reliever every single game. Makes you actually strategize your pitching rotation
I liked seeing kluber tho....

I just made WS last night. I had to use 95 Blake Snell as a spot starter because all of my other normal 5 were low on energy. I hadn't brought them out of the pen either. I agree nerfing it, but no to the point where every starter is low and takes too long to get to full energy lol

My approach is I actually use more like 6-8 SPs rotating thru to keep all at near full energy. This way I can still piggy back when needed and pull someone after 5 IPs Like in real life, I think that 3rd time thru the lineup is a bad idea....

I think that you should lose the energy you used during the start. It’s not my fault they quit. So if I lost say half energy before they quit, I should have half energy left. Why would I throw 5 pitches and then have a quarter energy left. That makes no sense.

Its not the best, but they had to do something to prevent people bringing in the same 2-3 pitchers every single game. On top of that, the in-game stamina drain is ridiculously slow for starters and stupidly high for relievers. I suppose this was the best they could do (I'm not sure what goes into making these tweaks without breaking something)
No reason Hal or Kluber should still be 40% green energy after 100 pitches. It makes working counts borderline pointless.
Frankly there are a lot of tweaks that need to be made to make the game more rewarding in every aspect.

They basically made it if a guy starts, he has to go at least 3 games before you can start him again. 4 if you want to get to full energy.
Looks fine to me
Even if the guy you play quits and your pitcher throws no pitches? Ummm, I don't think so
If that’s the case your pitcher won’t lose any stamina. It happened to me a few weeks ago

Idk, I’ll take a W and the prestige stats if it means my starter getting drained from only pitching 3 innings. Makes us have to build a complete rotation and have a good bullpen unlike prior to this update.
this. It wasn't too long ago that all you faced was Kluber or another starter to close out the game.
I remember when they first updated it. I was shitting bricks because I had to go out and find a 4th and 5th starter, plus a couple bullpen arms with no stubs.
There's been a few posts since the patch where people are essentially complaining about getting an early win and not being able to use a starter over and over.
-
Would like a fix to not punish your starter so you can’t really use him but this is still far better than facing kluber almost every dang game

They're forcing you to use 5 starters. Leave it as it it.
Yeah but the amount of energy your pitchers loose is way too much especially for the examples I provided.
Nah. Its fine.

The whole reason they pushed that update was to curb these cheesing clowns from constantly abusing the the game using starting pitchers as relievers. It forced them to actually strategize their bullpen use. I’ve been the victim of this too as I had to bring in a starting pitcher in the second inning after my pitcher got plunked in the head by a line drive and had to be replaced. I was left with option to bullpen all game with garbage in my pen or use a new starter which I chose to do. Fortunately it paid off and I was able to complete the game with my second starter but it hurt my rotation for one cycle because I had two pitchers with no energy for like four starts.
