They're forcing you to use 5 starters. Leave it as it it.
Yeah but the amount of energy your pitchers loose is way too much especially for the examples I provided.
Yep, if your opponent quits you never get to use that starter lol. I wanted to use sale but my opponent quit so I couldn’t use him
-
They basically made it if a guy starts, he has to go at least 3 games before you can start him again. 4 if you want to get to full energy.
Looks fine to me
-
way better than the dice roll last year. spend 750k on sale and not use him for 15 straight games
-
It actually makes sense from a realism standpoint. If a pitcher is set to throw tonight, he is on a schedule where he is throwing on certain days, doing bullpens etc. Plus he throws a good amount pregame tonight. If they get downpours in the second inning and the game is called he is still pretty taxed. Not as much as if he threw 100 pitches but there is almost no way a team is going to run him back out there before his next scheduled start unless it is a stretch run and they have a shot at postseason. That’s basically what is happening here now. We can set our rotation which is better than last years randomness but we can’t throw kluber for 2-3 innings every game now.

Even if the guy you play quits and your pitcher throws no pitches? Ummm, I don't think so.

It's a video game buddy. If you watch the Trevor Bauer vlogs on momentum, you saw that he was scheduled to pitch and the game got postponed 8 minutes before the start, so he was all warmed up with his pregame routine, but his start got postponed to the next day and he threw a complete game (even though it was 7 innings due to the new rule changes, but he still threw over 100 pitches) So, pitchers shouldn't loose an abundance of stamina.

The problem is that there’s more people who quit early than you think. It was a big reason why Kluber was pitching pretty much every game - opponents would quit early against him and he would always have good enough energy to start again.

okay so? you should be able to use your pitcher the next game if someone quits... I understand how many people quit super early, so that's why I think it's stupid that your pitcher looses so much stamina for an early quit. And plus, Kluber isn't that hard to hit.

It is better than rolling the dice, but if someone quits whenever they face sale, it's no better because then you'll never be able to use him.

Idk, I’ll take a W and the prestige stats if it means my starter getting drained from only pitching 3 innings. Makes us have to build a complete rotation and have a good bullpen unlike prior to this update.
-
I can see being bothered that you can't use your SP if he gets injured or your opponent quits, but I do like the new stamina. 4 and 5 starters are now relevant, as is having a good pen.
I don't think they could tweak the settings to get the stamina any better than it is now.

I mean my 4 and 5 starters were relevant anyways before the patch, and I didn't use starter out of my bullpen unless the game went into extras

Doesn't bother me because you get the win, and in RS that's all that matters.

But you would be winning every game you use him, and your bullpen would keep getting rested. I would be happy with a starter having an 8-0 record with 10 innings pitched... if you just want to pitch with him without worrying about winning then just play the comp.

players play differently when facing the computer. The only test to show how good a card is by playing RS

Fine, but if you are winning every game with him doesn’t that mean he’s good for your team? Regardless of how many innings he pitches.

Personally, I think this is the best fix to the game all year. Makes your entire pitching rotation relevant and your relievers mean so much more as well. Now reliever stamina regen needs addressed.

Yeah RP stamina being in the yellow after 3 pitches is really annoying. I don’t really mind it low, but the yellow and red stamina effect the pci size, so they at least need to make the yellow threshold lower than halfway...

Smoltz played 4 games ago he's still only at 80-90% I don't think I took him out.

Not gonna lie, it’s better than seeing Kluber every single game or being used as a reliever every single game. Makes you actually strategize your pitching rotation
