Story and J-Roll vs Did
-
Currently have prestige Didi as my primary SS. Just got MVP trout so I’m in the market for a different SS. Story or Rollins? I’m only the pepper map away from the boss pack because I’m slowly becoming a casual. Get both, get neither, or do whatever I want because this is just a video game?

I love J roll. His d is great and I hit better with him than his stats suggest.
-
Get J roll from the 6th inning pack and try him out. His price will go up in a few weeks if you don't like him. Then get Story. If anything, his price will almost certainly continue to go down.

I was thinking that, but I’m also such a Braves homer I want to take Maddux but I hated his 88 overall card. -

Maddux has unreal control, but you have to really understand the art of pitching and work around the corners. I used him once, but I feel better players will just sit low in the zone. Similarly, you can always try Maddux out, and then swap him for Rollins too. The bosses usually sit around the same price.

Trevor is superior to both

Looks like Story doesn’t have quite as high of stealing as Rollins and gold instead of diamond defense but a better arm and more power. I was leaning to Story also because I desperately need a righty.

He's the best, bro.

Just got MVP Trout tonight so I don’t even need to lock in Story

Rollins > Story
Switch hitter, better speed, better defense, better contact and better bunter in a pinch as needed, his power plays well above his stats from BOTH SIDES. Surprised it's even debatable.

Rollins is the goat at SS , didi better bat but I have him at second. Both are staples of my squad
-
The hardest thing about this game is for anyone to say who's the best! We all play different with different cards and swings! So far at SS my favorite is jimmy rollins! But he lacks power! Great all around SS! Potm free correa is very good ! But isn't amazing vs LHP. Larkin is [censored]!! But alot like larkin! Story just isn't good enough vs RHP!! And isnt as good fielding as rollins! Banks is solid but I don't like his swing! For me its not smooth! Plus he's 110k or more!
In my opinion the best SS is Your CAP!! 2 is rollins! 3rd correa and or didi !!

Do a cap at SS and sell the boss cards. Get the best equipment possible. They are all cheap now. Cap is easily the best SS available.

Both Story and Rollins can play 2B well as FYI. Even though out of position, the penalty isn't all that high (you can see for yourself). Gives more flexibility if you have a few guys you are rotating like I am (Banks/Story/Rollins/J-Ram)

Jimmy Rollins is by far the Worst Short Stop i've ever used Defensively. Maybe it's the game itself and not him, but I've had too many looping fly balls and grounders not hit directly at him go for base hits because he just stops running aggressively for the ball. Like just gives up on it. His speed is nice on the base paths, but I'd rather have Didi or HRD Cal there. Haven't used the Awards Story yet.

Nope nope. Trevor > Every SS in the game. Hands down.
You also know I'm heavily biased.

Trevor is basically Prestige Chipper but with better defense and a lot of speed. His price in the market has shot up and think people are finally figuring out that, well, he's really good.....

Really? I haven’t had that experience with him at all. But what you’re describing is exactly what I experienced with Barry Larkin, including his prestige card.
For me, J-Roll is the best SS in the game. Defense and baserunning have been great, and I’ve even hit above his attributes so far. I’m looking forward to the prestige version.
-
So far I can't consistently hit with Rollins. Was just thinking maybe selling him off for Trevor Story Awards series.
