I read that congress recently repealed the law that said the outcome of all games would automatically be dictated by which opponent had the better record. Personally, I find this horrifying because now the teams actually have to play out every game and sometimes a bad team could get hot at the same time when a good time gets cold. Don’t worry though — in the entire history of all professional sports, a weaker team has never once beaten a stronger team, so I’m sure we’ll all be just fine.
This would make sense if it wasn’t one player who is highly skilled vs. another player who is not skilled. An entire baseball team with multiple players all functioning together to win ballgames is entirely different than 1 on 1. Imagine Lebron James playing a game of 1 on 1 with your grandmother.
Usually I try to crack a joke when another person says something silly on these forums, but honestly your ego is so disgustingly overblown that I legitimately encourage you to take a step back and reevaluate your opinion of yourself not only as a gamer but as a human being. And I’m being 100% serious. The LeBron vs Grandma analogy is dripping not just with unparalleled narcissism but also with a sense of misanthropy that is genuinely disturbing.
I wasn’t comparing Lebron vs. your grandma to myself hahaha. I’m above average at best at this game. I just meant that as a scenario between someone who is highly skilled at the game vs. someone who is not to compare to the idea that “any team can beat any team” argument.
So which is it: are you “above average at best,” or are you “highly skilled,” King James?

I wasn’t referring to me in the scenario at all. I was saying that 1 on 1 is entirely different than an entire professional baseball team playing against another professional baseball team with multiple players all performing differently. I used the Lebron vs. Grandma analogy simply to point out that vast skill difference between 2 players in 1 v. 1 means Lebron would beat Grandma every time because no other variables other than Lebron skill vs. grandma skill would factor in to determining the outcome.

Honestly. My bad guys. I do sound pretty douchey, I’ll be honest. I really didn’t intend to try to exalt myself in the post and I definitely posted this in a bad mood. I appreciate you guys letting me know how idiotic I sound. It’s just a game and I need to chill out.

So I’m 102-42. Just played a guy who is 20 games under .500. I didn’t strike out a single time. He struck out 7 times and flailed the entire time, never hitting a single perfect perfect or even a good timing. I hit 10+ perfect perfects for outs and numerous lineouts. I was up 2-1 going into top 9th. Put in SS Chapman. He somehow he hits 2 bombs off Chapman. I lose the game after lining out 3 times in bottom of the 9th. He even apologized after the game because he knows he shouldn’t have won. THIS IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE GAME. There is absolutely no way if this game plays fairly that I lose that game. No way. I’m sorry. But SDS has created an absolute trashcan of a game online this year. It’s so bad that it’s actually comical. I don’t even get mad anymore because it’s so blatant and obvious. We need a new legitimate baseball game to come on the scene. This game has gone downhill at an alarming rate.
You dont get mad but you took time to post about such garbage, i wasted my time reading a whiny post about how u lost cause u got a good record and u got perfect outs and the guy apologized for beating you. Boy go sit in a corner until ur tantrum is over

Pretty much. These types of threads are just an excuse to humble brag about how great you are at the game. I suck at online but I have still occasionally beat players that are "highly skilled".
