Hof difficulty in Allstar?

Now I know that if you are at the all star level and you play someone in Hof that you are supposed to be at the all star level difficulty. However, I just played someone in the 700’s while I was in 600’s, and it was one of those games where pitch speeds were so fast, I didn’t even have time to move my pci and had to pretty much swing as the ball was being released. Is there any way that I actually played the game on HoF, or were the pitch speeds so fast for a myriad of other reasons? Also, the same criteria occurred in a previous game and the pitch speeds were like that too.

I just noticed this within the last few days that pitch speeds change so much like in one game pitcher was pitching 100+ i was finally able to catch up then he changed pitchers that pitch was at 95and i couldn't catch up.
