Just throw exactly what the catcher says and you are golden.
Just like Bull Durham.

MLB the Show: the only video game that, on the easiest difficulty, consistently throws 6-8 consecutive off-speed balls in the dirt in a mission requiring three extra base hits in a game, and then nerfs the outcome of the pitch you square up.
I can’t even think of what an equivalent thing to this would be in a FPS type game. Having the boss one shot you over and over in different ways? Even that doesn’t seem as egregious.

On moments where I need strikeouts, I have the most luck throwing what the catcher calls but aiming the ball very slightly out of the zone. Especially on rookie and veteran, the cpu is usually dumb enough to chase.

Dude those moments were easy like all the moment have been this year

I don’t know how many tries that Tampa bay rays HR mission took me. I swear it was at least 25 times before I got lucky and hit one off the foul pole. The others weren’t terrible imo.

Only tough one was the kike one ,and only because of terribly slow rookie pitch speeds compounded by a changeups thrower.
Those slow change ups seem to defy gravity. I do not know how they can be that slow and stay in the air.

One of worst things in this game are moments that want you to pitch 9 innings, getting strikeouts, and not allowing a run. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten to 1 or 2 outs in 9th inning and the CPU cheats you. It’s hard enough with all the foul balls the CPU hits. By the time you get to the 9th inning, your SP is 100+ in pitches. I usually have 15+ strikeouts by the end and I’m super careful to only throw low and away fastballs and sliders/sinkers late in the games. I hate that doodoo. They should never throw that “don’t give up a run” part in moments. You waste all that time pitching perfectly into the 9th inning and have to start over. The Eckersley and Corbin moments are good examples.

Low and away fastballs are risky against the CPU, especially on lower difficulties. Go with high and tight, and don't be afraid to go above the zone, they'll swing at that stuff all day with 2 strikes.

It’s cause you suck at the game no offense. Your record is 20-41 tho. Go fix it instead of crying
Careful Young Jedi....you are starting to sound like Tyler

Sometimes I think, I should throw what the catcher wants and where he wants it, and other times I ignore him completely. I feel like doing some of the moments that are on All-Star for pitching has helped me a lot with sequencing my pitches, figuring out how the ball breaks on different pitches, and knowing what pitches are just asking to be hit a mile (change up, up)

I find the pitching ones to be very easy. Some of the hitting ones get me good, especially multiple XBH ones or tons of total bases.

I just finished Jeff Bagwell Team Affinity 3 moment where I needed 3 xb hits in one game with him. Dude has no pop (perfect/perfect fly not making it to the track in center) and not enough speed to get many doubles.
It was my worst moments experience, but I finally got there.
