July Flipping Memories...
-
For and giggles, I'd figure I'd take a stroll down memory lane and look and see how much my flip game has evolved in the past 4 years.
(For the purposes of this exercise, I'm counting anything sold out of inventory [duplicates, pack pulls, postgame rewards, etc] towards flip totals, but I am NOT counting them towards best/worst flips since the acquisition price of 0 isn't a fair comparison)

July 2018:
My 2018 strategy was WAY different than other years because of Immortals. To get the best cards in the game, you had to exchange souvenirs pulled from packs. But buying them off the market was a major pain. So I devised a system:
A. Buy a diamond bobblehead for around 600
B. Exchange it for a pack of 5 silver jerseys
C. Take out any jerseys for the Immortal I was collecting at the moment (Example: Dodger jerseys for Jackie)
D. Sell the Remaining Jerseys for profit
E. For accounting purposes, I counted all this as 1 transation even though it was up to 6.
F. Repeat the process anywhere between 40 and 70 times a day.
G. Given that transactions were limited to 20 at a time, this was ... fun?!? exhausting?!? But totally worth it in the end because while everyone else was griping about Immortals being behind a "paywall", I was actually making money on the process.Total Earned in Flipping: 579,872

This is solid growth year over year. Flipping is grind but in my first year of DD i'm seeing the benefits and in some ways enjoy watching the market more than getting frustrated with losing a showdown in the game. Out of curiosity, how did you aggregate this data? Did you have to manually input into a spreadsheet or were you able to export this from this site somehow?
-
When I started playing DD back in 16, I used a Google sheet mainly to keep track of...
- Card Inventory (who I had collected, who I still needed)
- Buy/Sell prices (so I could confirm I was making profit after tax)
Since then, I've expanded it to include lots of metadata on each card (type, how acquired, when released/acquired), PostGame/XP/Login Rewards to track odds, sales logs and Game Logs.
Some of it is cut/paste from the website, most is manual data input.

For and giggles
As a fellow numbers geek, this is the best post in the history of MLB the Show.
