Shawn Green Moment Tips
-
So far, I've only attempted the Ruth (done), Yelich (done), and Mets comeback (so close to done) moments .
The Green moment is really feeling like a time sink: he's not nearly as good as Yeli or the Babe, and 4 XBH feels nightmarish.
Davies actually walked me on 8+ balls (0 strikes) in a few ABs, which is...problematic lol.
Anyone have any tips on best approaches?

He's got an extreme pull tendency, so don't even swing at anything on the outer third. Sit one pitch, one location and don't miss it.

He appears to have limited power, so would you recommend sitting low and in?
When no one is on base, the defense also does an extreme pull shift; ever try to push the ball the other way for a free double?

I'm sure you could, but I've never had a lot of luck pushing the ball with extreme pull hitters. I sat fastball up and in and curveball low for this moment and got it done in 4 consecutive at bat's.

Well, I better get it done that way lol.

I'm sure a lot of luck went into it. These moments can be a crapshoot when it comes to the competence of the defense

I can't tell you anything that you don't already know, but I had success with trying to hit line drives into the gaps instead of homeruns. His somewhat lack of power makes a lot of balls with too much lift die on the warning track, so try not to get under it too much. Other than that you just gotta be lucky, also that the CPU doesn't do crazy stuff.

That's really the crux of most moments: the HR robberies, gap dives, sliding stops, etc. can easily dd hours to the your efforts.

I've actually gotten my ONLY XBH's by going the other way

I almost did it, but an outside fastball went right to the shifted SS on the 2B bag...still have no idea how I had good timing and didn't get it to LF.

I almost always hit a HR first AB, then warning track shots and robbed HRs (Yelich twice and Cain 3 times) after that.

I really do not like his swing.

Green’s power really wasn’t the issue for this moment. There were even a few times that I was shocked a ball went over the wall.

If I hear the word "lofted," one more time...

That’s unfortunate. I think Shawn Green might’ve stolen all of Babe Ruth’s power though, because I can barely hit a single HR with him.

That's criminal.

They were all pretty easy for me but I am stuck on this one, the only one I have left. So tired of the hits to the warning track after I have three of the four. I got two in the first inning three times and still no luck. I am probably at 12 hours on this one...

I just lost the Nats-Mets comeback in the 13th, 11-10, on a OF error double and a suicide squeeze lol.

Finally beat the Shawn Green moment, pretty satisfying, it was a difficult task, and I get Goose for a while...
