Dude they are used interchangeably in most real life baseball contexts, you can alter the grip slightly and try to distinguish them but at its root they are both two-seam grips and everyone grips their [censored] slightly differently and throws at different arm angles anyways. Also check Fangraphs or Brooks Baseball, they group them all under "Sinker."
Now in-game, there are only a few degrees of difference in the angle of break, except sinkers are OP. Both have a fair degree of tail and sink. There is no reason to not give him a sinker since otherwise he'd be pretty much undesirable now that sinkers are the meta.

Mine does. It moves in towards righties and away from lefties. I may not be a professional but I'm still young. If you don't think I very good then that's your loss. I'm young and throw 60

@PoopsyMcDoodle he built his career on a sinker. He would change grips and velocity constantly because his goal was to mix up the plane of movement and the amount of movement on his pitches. It was based around a sinker, but his sinker could essentially be 5 different pitches

I’m thankful he has a sinker so his can be effective. It could have gone either way with that or a 2SFB.

Whatever they gave maddux, SDS wont do justice with his movement. Dude had the best movement ive ever seen for a pitcher.

Baseball is my life! I watch all the Sox games and play baseball which sometimes interferes with watching them

Lol at theses dudes messing with a young buck. major leaguers aren’t the only ones to have movement on their pitches. I’m an “old man” and I can throw a pitch that moves easy. The problem is mine never topped out over 85 and I wasn’t a PO, I mainly played 3rd and LF.... and trust me, the 1B knew my throws could possible move to the left. Keep working on the game young buck, gets some pitching coach ( or hitting) and hopefully you can get to the show, or at least the college level.
