Dude they are used interchangeably in most real life baseball contexts, you can alter the grip slightly and try to distinguish them but at its root they are both two-seam grips and everyone grips their [censored] slightly differently and throws at different arm angles anyways. Also check Fangraphs or Brooks Baseball, they group them all under "Sinker."
Now in-game, there are only a few degrees of difference in the angle of break, except sinkers are OP. Both have a fair degree of tail and sink. There is no reason to not give him a sinker since otherwise he'd be pretty much undesirable now that sinkers are the meta.

Mine does. It moves in towards righties and away from lefties. I may not be a professional but I'm still young. If you don't think I very good then that's your loss. I'm young and throw 60

@PoopsyMcDoodle he built his career on a sinker. He would change grips and velocity constantly because his goal was to mix up the plane of movement and the amount of movement on his pitches. It was based around a sinker, but his sinker could essentially be 5 different pitches

Whatever they gave maddux, SDS wont do justice with his movement. Dude had the best movement ive ever seen for a pitcher.
