Who is your go to Closer ?
-
Wagner or goose. Depends on whos coming up

I don't really have one, to be honest. I've got a bunch of different "types" of pitchers and throughout a game, I'll make a mental note of the types of pitches my opponent hits well and the types they struggle with and adapt my relief pitching accordingly. If I recognize they're using directional, I'll bring in Romo or Eckersley and paint the corners. If they cheat fastball, I'll bring in Wagner or Smith and throw a lot of offspeed.

I have Kenley do not have any of the other elite, Hoffman has been good for me. Outside of Signature cards my go to is Seth Lugo player of the Month

That Lugo POTM is in my pen, too. Deceptive delivery and pretty decent stuff. Good mop up guy

Honestly, Finest Yates has been awesome.
His splitter is up there with SS Gagne's vulcan change as a wipeout pitch.
I need to use Kimbrel more, but those two guys have rarely let me down, unlike Hader lol.

Gagne. Only guy in my pen that doesn’t have a 3.5+ ERA. Everyone else is hit or miss.

Haha yes. I’m not exactly an elite pitcher in this game. Bottom line is Gagne is really good and everyone would be using him if he weren’t so expensive.

What's helped me most is 1) seeing how players react (or don't) to certain pitches to find a weakness, 2) paying attention to their timing on the previous swing vs. the pitch velocity, and 3) throwing certain pitches in atypical locations to throw off their swing.

In years past I've pitched fine. I just can't figure out the meta this year even after 9 months or however long it's been. I'm always painting the black, but pitch location seems to be less important this year. I give up countless singles but rarely any extra base hits.

Oh, yeah, the randomness is killer.
