How the censored do you throw out runners?
-
I’ll start off by saying I have absolutely no issues against the cpu. The last patch was supposed to fix the catcher throw meter but didn’t. I can pound the throw button and my catcher just stands there or double clutches. Also last night I had the meter randomly pop up and was not expecting it and my throw went into the red and he scored the go ahead run. This is absolutely ridiculous.
-
If you are indeed pounding the throw button, and he double clutches, that sounds like you just have throw canceling on.
-
I was being sarcastic. I said that because I get frustrated with the game.
-
I can get my catcher to throw again, but barely ever can throw out the steal to second. I got stolen on twice last night on pitch outs. Stealing is too easy imo.

No one else has any input? Ok I guess we just pretend this isn’t an issue.

It isn't lol. I'm sick of everyone blaming the game for them sucking

I havent gotten a throw meter in over 3 weeks. Idk how to fix it. Thats my input.

Maybe don't be aggressive towards people trying to help provide answers based on what YOU SAID

That darned throw cancelation is hella stupid and should be turned off. It doesn't really help anything...because a simple tap on any base button and you're throwing it away regardless if the both fielders have 99. Fielders feel like they run in slow motion when a guy with 99 speed hits anything into fair play.

Wasn’t being aggressive. I’m asking what’s going on for other people. Issue has nothing to do with throw canceling. Runner is stealing and ball gets to catcher I try to throw to the base and sometimes they don’t throw. Sometimes they start to throw then don’t. And on the rare occasion I get a throw meter. Against the cpu I have zero issues.

You have two choices, delete your save file for sliders and in game settings and set them up again just like you had to on the first day you played. Or uninstall the game and download it again and do your settings again. I’ve had to do this a few times this year and either will fix your problem.

Thanks I’ll give this a try

The issue persists for everyone. One method I have used that seems to work about 80% of the time is wait until the pitch almost reaches the catcher. Right before he catches the pitch start to hold the base button. And hold it the whole time until the view changes and the meter starts. Then release and press again for timing.

If you have button accuracy on you won’t throw it away. The only throwing errors I’ve made for the past 3 years have been my fault
-
I throw people out, but only at 3rd. 2nd once, but otherwise they always get there.
-
how do you turn off the button accuracy / throw canceling? I'm having to double pump every time before throwing and never get anybody out. then they see the weakness and exploit it.
-
Something weird happened today to me in this regard. Was playing vs cpu and Dee Gordon was stealing 2nd. I hit the throw to 2nd base and Buster Posey let out a lob throw to 2nd. Maybe a random occurence but I hope that doesn't happen the next time. He's nasty about throwing out runners.
