POTM Hector Neris is NASTY!!

He's been my closer over a month and thru 40 IP, I've had 1 ER, ERA 0.22, 1 BS out of 35+ and like 80+ K. I was hesistant how he'd work out considering the Splitter is his primary pitch but that splitter is excellent to be thrown for strikes and strikeouts below the zone!

I love this card too. He's outperformed Fingers and that diamond Betances (had to sell). Neris and Rodney have been my clutch dudes.

fingers is disappointing this year for me - i am loving the betances so far though - thanks for the tip gents on neris

If people are having issues with Fingers that’s on you. The guy has been lights out from the day I got him.

I can't hit Fingers when I face him, and I can't pitch with Fingers when I throw him... no joke. It has baffled me so far.

Why can’t you pitch with him? He is pretty easy to control. I can’t hit him either though lol!

He gets rocked by my opponents. I blame myself, definitely not trying to pass the buck there. His fork hangs when I throw it, or nose dives and doesn't get a swing. And I can't get the slider to break/fake out the batter.
May give him another shot and try to get better with him.

Don't know what you're doing but Isringhausen got shelled EVERY time I used him. Could never get through a clean inning. His ERA is 7.50 through like 12IP with more ER to IP.

I work his change in a lot on the low outside corners. It's been my out pitch

With fingers, you should only throw the fork 2 or 3 times an inning at most. He has good control, so don't throw anything down the center. I only throw the fork when it looks like they have the sinker and fb timed up. Usually get a lunging swing, but if not, at least it's in their head
Edit: Neris is also in my pen, but I don't know the best way to pitch with him. He's ok (ERA is in the high 3's or low 4's I think)
