Stolen Bases

Base running is so bad in this game!! I have a 20% SB success rate in offline games, usually with 90 speed or steal guys. That’s not right. No matter what I do I get throw out by a mile. This needs to be addressed, because of you program double plays so high, than SB should be more realistic.
For context I always try and steal with 2 balls, and almost always get an extra lead. I also try and hit L2 a second time, but the runner doesn’t react and usually get a jump after the pitcher releases the ball. Player lock steal
Moment are simple, because you can time your jump. There needs to be more user control for stealing. Rant over, have a nice day. -
I get picked off all the time by the computer and only take one extra step. Funny thing is I never pick the CPU off. Funny how that works.

This is against cpu, guys with 80+ spd, and I dont run on Realmuto.
2 ball counts mostly,but with 95+ speed I'll occasionally run on 1st/2nd pitch.this is what I do-
Hit L2 followed by L1 then R1, runner stays at default lead but seems to help with bad jumps, watch pitchers feet,as soon as foot moves I hit L1 and hit it about 5 times after(only hit it 2 or 3 times with 1st and 3rd so the runner stays on 3rd, 95%+success.
I've also noticed on most pickoff throws the pitcher moves his shoulder first before feet. -
Got picked off with a lead last night which is total bs when I can't ever do that to the cpu. I believe the sb success rate is higher on ahead or favored counts ...so 2-0, 2-1.....stealing on first two pitches is reverse....high percentage pitch out or high percentage gunned out on those first two pitches. Afterall no runner has ever stolen a bag on the first pitch

You never saw Rickey play then.he reached on an IF chopper,pitcher in front of mound gets the ball and walks back and picks up rosin bag,.then walks to grass in front of mound, Rickey at this point was about 5 ft off first,pitcher turns and heads toward rubber,turned to 3rd base,as soon as his back was to him ,Rickey took off, shouts and pitcher turns and fires to 2nd, but it was way too late.
if talking about the video game, I have stolen first pitch ,a couple times on pitch outs, but I've only ever attempted that with a 95+ spd guy
