5th Inning Boss Prices
-
The innings bosses from here on out won't be dropping to 30k anymore. The voucher reward is now increased to 25k, so that is a factor. Also these cards are just way better than previous innings bosses. Around this time last year the innings bosses held their value and stayed higher, I would expect these and future innings to do the same.
-
The conquest map today will tank the prices to around 50-60 by weekend, a lot of people have not got to 300 stars yet
-
My long term target for these was 70k, similar to when Alomar dropped last year... But it may settle a little higher.

After this conquest map we will see, but I still think settle at 50-60!

they'll probably sit around 80k for a while then eventually settle to around 50/60k
I doubt Mariano gets that low, remember what happened to Billy Wagner last year after the program was over?
Billy wagner was a lot better in last years game than Mariano is now though
I'd disagree, I'm having way more success with Mariano, 30 innings 44 strikeouts 1.80 ERA 0.90 WHIP
By no means am I saying Mariano is bad, but there are some key differences in why the prices will greatly differ between the two
-
Wagner came out earlier and before the game wen on sale. I’m willing to bet more people are going to get to 300 stars this inning than the 4th inning last year
-
Wagner was the best reliever in the game and was only rivaled by Jansen. Mo has Dibble and Chapman to compete with
-
The other bosses. While bosses are probably equally chosen each inning for the most part(sell the most expensive and buy the one you want), Everyone kept wagner after selling Cutch and Ripken. Ortiz and Walker will be used more.
I don’t think Mo drops much, but he won’t be the 160k that Wagner was going for at one point last year
I think the one thing you aren't considering though is prestige. Wagner was really only locked in for the voucher, but a lot of people are going to lock Mariano in for prestige in addition to some people doing the voucher.
I think there will be less supply because of that
I agree, but yet again it comes down to the other two as well. I doubt quite as many will lock in Ortiz and Walker for prestige as Mo but they are still going to be used more than Ripken and Cutch. The only thing they were really useful for were the voucher and Honus(which let’s be honest the majority of Honus owners last year likely did the vouchers anyway). I don’t think Mo will be 50-60k like the poster you originally responded to said but 80-90k seems pretty reasonable. I think these bosses will mostly compare to Griffey/Piazza/Jackie prices before the 11th inning re-release. There is no chance any inning boss reaches the 160k that Wagner did last year. Not even close

I hopeyou're right, i sold Ortiz at 95.5k when i got him early, with the hope to buy back both him and walker... I got 160k right now...
-
Thank God i sold walker when the program dropped. I sold him at 180k, now i got him and Mo at 81k apiece. Patience wins everytime

I would strongly bet against that.
They are end game caliber players. 2 of the 3 play for 3 of the most, if not the most popular franchises.
Those are undeniable, but I’d also speculate the majority of people still grinding hoping to get to 300 also aren’t the type of players that are looking to immediately sell a boss once they finally earn it. -
I dont see how any of these cards will become bad plays by the end game. Mo will probably be standard in every good bullpen.
I haven't hit 300 yet (due to vacation) but I'll be picking Mo and probably holding him forever. Already bought Walker for 90k. I knew his price would drop for that, but I was impatient, and I have no regrets. Hes a game changer.

In my opinion, this is right up there with the best group of bosses ever.
I think they hold from here on out.
