If we still have a season(which is up in the air still at this point tbh), what do you guys think of the schedule? I think the Reds have a really good shot to make the playoffs under this schedule. They already have a scary lineup and they play 23 out of their 60 games against the Tigers, Royals, White Sox, and Pirates. For sure gonna be a good short stretch for them I think
MLB schedule thoughts and sleeper teams to make playoffs
Do you think Spencer Torkelson might be able to start a game this season? He's doing well in batting practice, and Miggy and Gardenhire both like what they see.

For contract/Arbitration purposes, no. I expect Mize, Manning, and Skubal to be full time in the majors in 2021 and Greene and Tork to probably join in 2022 though
Call me crazy but I think Chicago (White Sox), Toronto and Seattle in the AL could be surprises. Out in the NL I see the Rockies, Reds, and Mets as the surprises. It just takes a quick start to have a good season in a 60 game year.
The team that gets to practice with its stars and doesn’t end up with their studs in quarantine.
As a Cubs fan, the reds do look pretty strong and like the guy mentioned the white Sox. But ima go out on a sleeper limb and say the padres will fight for a playoff spot.

I don't think it happens. League gets shut down.
That is my vote. Still so much time until it is supposed to start for things to get worse.
If they play a 60 game season there could be a lot of sleeper teams. In fact everyone save maybe 5-8 teams could. It isnt hard to get the bats hot for that short period of time and out score bad pitching. Obviously bad pitching will hurt you during a reg season, but teams can overcome it for short burst.
Teams that may not have the best pitching but have some guys that can get hot at the plate that jump to my mind first are the Blue Jays and Reds. Rockies, Diamondbacks, Angels, and A's could fit that as well. And obviously all the teams that are loaded with both will have no problem competing.
It will be a sprint, not a marathon. If it happens.

I don't mean to be the negative person but with how testing has been going, teams shutting down practice because of inefficiency with tests, I don't see how these guys are gonna test every single day and get those results before game time.
Plus more and more people are gonna get the rona, that's obvious, but its gonna shut everything down. Eventually one team is going to have an outbreak where majority personnel and players contract it. League will be forced to hit the breaks and shut it all down.

Yup, that is exactly it. More cases coming every day, it will be hard to justify exposing players.
The Rays have a relatively easy schedule and a real good team. Maybe not a sleeper since they made it to the playoffs last season, but I'd be suprised if they dont go far. I'm super excited for some baseball, I hope the season dosent get canceled!!
Texas Rangers
Underrated staff 1-5 in Kluber, Lynn, Minor, Gibson, Lyles
And 6 lefty heavy lineup they can use every game vs righties
Tigers Pitching....
Fulmer seems to be feeling good after recovering from surgery. Hopefully he can get a few Ws for the Tigers. Boyd seems promising, but he's a "wait and see" for me, might have an average W-L record, but who knows. Zimmermann I'm NOT confident about, went 1-13 last year. He says he's embracing his veteran pitcher role, but please Zim, pitch carefully this time... It's unlikely but I hope they bring up a couple of their first round pitchers to play some games.
Any thoughts on the lineup?
