This game would be more fun if SDS removed sinkers from the game

So obviously some pitches are better than others in different locations, counts, situations, etc. If i want a ground ball throw a splitter/changeup, slider away is good strikeout pitch vs RHB...but it feels like sinkers are just automatically the best pitch in the game. Someone could throw a sinker 100% of their pitches and I would probably lose. And I'm not some scrub either, I can make DS/CS consistently, and especially on HOF pitch speeds, a high sinker looks like a 110 mph curveball, it's ridiculous. And to make it worse, SDS for some reason decided to give almost every pitcher they release a sinker. Really SDS?

And yes, I am writing this after losing a game to a guy who pitched blood diamond Oswalt and spammed high sinkers, and if I ever tried sitting on high sinkers, you have to swing so early that he mixed in a few curveballs and I was kinda screwed.

So I go back to my title: do other people feel the same way as me that sinkers kinda ruin the game experience? Like there are other pitches that are difficult to hit, but their realistic, but a sinker just feels unrealistic...

EDIT: I just want to clarify that I'm not saying remove sinkers from the game because I dislike the pitch, that would be unrealistic; I'm saying that playing this game would be more fun if sinkers were banned because its a BROKEN pitch, particularly when thrown high in the strike zone, and clearly SDS seem to have no intention to fix it. It's kinda gotten to a point where every pitcher I face throws a sinker, and most people spam sinkers high in the zone, and I'm kind of sick of it because its so broken.

My blood pressure goes up every time I get a called strike on an up and in sinker. I think most people agree with your sentiment. For now, it’s just the way it goes. I just assume that it’s not that easy to code the game to make high sinkers flat without messing up something else. Or it’s a way to keep batting averages from being crazy with the best players. I think it’s the former over the latter.

At this point, my guess is they give all these pitchers sinkers to push people to use different players or everyone would just use whoever had a sinker.

No online people, this is baseball remember?, you can't take out an actual pitch used in baseball. What's next?, you want SDS to remove 3rd base too?

I agree with this but it's not gonna happen. With all the complaining against the sinkers being way too OP the past few years, SDS has countered that by giving every fricking pitcher a sinker.

Petition to have a Hot Pockets ad on the cf wall at Rogers Centre in MLBTS 21 so Josh has to stare at it for 21 hours while he adjusts his sliders.

Maybe you should practice reading and hitting the sinker. The outcome will come out better for you.

I agree that when that sinker is coming in high it looks like a looping curveball at first.. it has that slightest bit of rise to it to make it look offspeed.. I can't hit it too often either.. especially if the other person is any good at mixing in some other pitches.... but removing it wouldn't be realistic

People complain, I can't hit high and in fastballs, they're too hard. SDS nerfs fastball speeds.
People complain, I can't hit Phil Neikro and Luis Tiant (sp? on both guys). SDS takes them out of the game.
People complain, I can't hit Steven Wright and the other garbage lefty knuckleballer. SDS changes MOST events so they aren't eligible.
Now we're complaining about sinkers not thrown realistic ... Seriously guys, if you want to play a SIM ONLY baseball game, just play the CPU with custom sliders. It's a video game and people are going to do what they need to do to make it harder to beat them.
Let's complain about real issue when they're prevalent like when fielders have too many unrealistic errors or can't lock onto a ball properly or when people use to play anyone OOP with little penalty to have extra bats in the lineup w/out being penalized. Otherwise we're going to be left with a game that looks pretty and plays like NES RBI Baseball where we just push a button to pitch, swing, or throw and the game does the rest.

Very true. Sinkers are the least of this games worries.

They addressed high Sinkers either last year or in 18 by supposedly reducing the movement of Sinkers up in the zone.

It's arguably worse this year and we're outside the point of them doing anything about it this year. They need to drastically reduce the movement up in the zone.

Haha, I like that one, finally someone with a sense of humor....online casuals usually don't have personalities.

I recognize that the pitch is hittable if you sit on it, but don't you think it sucks that you have to concentrate everything to be able to hit a pitch that is unrealistic to have so much break high in the strike zone?

If a single pitch can be a meta, it needs to be changed.

It’s a video game and every video game has its “glitch” yet the high sinker and inside high fastball are hard to to hit but hittable. The key to hitting the sinker and the inside fastball is keeping the PCI INSIDE the ball and guess it. Do you realize baseball players work counts to read pitches. Eventually if you read them right you can jolt that walk off salami which I have the greatest joy experiencing. By the 7-9 inning your should a good read on that pitch if u worked the counts.
With all the being said it’s a SOB but ain’t like u can’t throw it as well. And once you get 2-3 good hits they will stop throwing to that location. But I’m general high inside fastball shouldn’t be swung at in leveraged counts. BOL tho

lower the RNG to the bare minimum and we might have an enjoyable ballgame again. Guys who can only generate 2-3 hard hits per game and still win, shouldn't be happening against better players.
