Bat Skin. How about a statement by SDS
-
Does anyone NOT see the possible negative connotations of putting BLM on a bat at this point in time? I'll say it again: BLM on a bat.
I'm sure the morons on both sides could create a scenario where SDS has to backtrack and issue a statement that begins with the words "While we always strive to do better....".
Maybe we should think before we start a virtue signaling campaign.

We the People is for all. Activists skins would only provide an avenue for divide. Baseball has enough of that right now.
-
I really wanted to post what's on my mind reading some of this ,but I won't. I'll just say this and be done with it.
As a black man we want to escape alot of things but we can't. If any of the stuff SDS or any company is doing as far as BLM is concerned, bothers anybody then you're part of the problem, not the solution!! IJS -
I think it's okay if they added a skin or don't. But I played someone recently who changed their team's scoreboard initials to "BLM", if you care personally about making a statement, I think that's a cool place to do it... I look at the score more than my opponent's bat.
-
Another option is a banner versus a bat skin.
-
Who else doesn't use any bat skins because they like to see the realistic bat stains and colors the players choose?

I actually use bat skins to match my uniform color. I think it's a rattle snake orange. I'd have to find the name again next time I log in.

Historically, companies have gone out of their way to have NO opinion on anything even remotely political. It makes zero business sense to take a stand for or against anything, quite frankly. I agree with a previous poster who said something along the lines of it making him cringe watching these companies "support" the cause. It's all transparent BS and marketing.
Sometimes a video game should just be a video game, and not a political platform.

I personally play games like this to sometimes escape the pressure of this crazy world outside my doors. I personally would rather log in and not have to deal with discussions and politics... I just want to play a game.
Couldn’t agree more!
Lol you have an issue with a BLM bat skin but not the thousands of MAGA teams and pro Trump teams? The line has been crossed already so that argument is weak as hell. Nobody is asking you to have a discussion about a bat skin. Shut up and play.
Do you always put words in people’s mouths or just mine? I never said I don’t have a problem with MAGA. In fact......I have a problem with the entire political environment. I come here for baseball....and to get away from politics. Soooooo, I now say you shut up kind sir!!!

If SDS really wanted to make a statement with it, they'd make it only buyable with real world money, and all proceeds would go to BLM. Otherwise it's just pixels on a screen that do nothing to help the cause
yeah exactly mate
