HR at Metrodome?

I hit a ball off of the giant Rundown sign above the fence at the Metrodome. It wasn’t a homerun. Is that how it’s supposed to be or did the umpires make a mistake?

The RF wall at the Metrodome was 23' tall! It is like the "Green Monster" where it was tall, but was close to homeplate. 7' wall plus the 1 6' plastic wall known as the "Baggie" or the "Hefty Bag".

I had no idea. But are the folded up bleachers just to the left of the signs considered part of the wall, or if it hits them is it a homerun?
