What do you know. Lofton gets thrown out with no slide step. You know my 95+ speed and base stealer can run before the pitcher lets go of the ball. Check swing strike with Boggs. Next batter late on 92. Quit the game. Not worth my time. Zero chance of winning that game. 3 tells in the first inning, didn't need to see more. Would have been a 45 minute waste of time. Already know the outcome.

Should have added outside corner pitch with perfect input to Trout over the middle for a HR so actually 4 signs.

See You Tomorrow!

SDS

Yeah cause it’s not like there’s 8 more innings or anything like that. And it’s not like base runners EVER get thrown out without a slide step. It’s baseball man.

Never said I was quitting the game. Just saving some time on that particular one.

Yeah, and it's not like we've seen this all before. Believe the fundamental message from all of us that just ain't happy with the mess this game is this year is "Make it consistent". Don't inject improbabilities into the game...an improbable amount of time.

That whole baserunning element in the game is a complete charade. I've gotten 2 and 3 step leads with Rickey and been thrown out after a curve-ball pitch in the dirt. Him posting this just makes me angry about all the times the same thing happened to me.

I don't blame him for quitting. I might have myself.

8 more innings of tell tale signs, no thanks. They don't get thrown out without a slide step when the connection is good. I told you, I can tell within the first 3 innings how the game will go. The signs are there, you just have to know what to look for. I'm not mad, it is what it is. Game is extremely predictable.

SDS

I'm convinced this game is really strat-o-matic baseball with a nice appearance. I'm not happy about it, but I've accepted that outcomes are like rolling a dice and the player attributes really don't matter.

You ever stick through one of those games and end up with a W?

I’ve had a ton of games where I’m getting my *** ****** all game. Good input lineouts, good/okays that should be good/squared. Opponents getting cheap hits and early/okay HRs.

Then the 8th inning comes around, I can’t get out and end up winning.

I think that “script” can change At any moment during the game.

Yesterday, I started a game pitching. Bloop single, bloop single, 3 run bomb. I didn’t quit like a sissy, I stuck it out and won the game.

Some of you people are entitled little whiners. Can’t face adversity of anything hard. Take the easy way out and quit. Sad.

SDS

I regularly play like absolute garbage and look like a fool for a solid 3 innings before clawing my way to victory. Though I appreciate people like you quitting so I can keep my Felix fresh

Lol... and funniest part is when they blame their bad record on quitting out of so many games.

And yet we’ll all see another rant post in a few hours from the appropriately named Demise. One of the great mysteries of humans, continuing to obsess over something that only brings misery

I agree with what you said. But, just because the AI suddenly allows your team to do something it couldn't the whole game..and your opponent is suddenly hamstrung..does that really give you a feeling of accomplishment? Because it just reminds me what a big piece of deception the game is.

One day a software company will create a true simulation sports game. I can't wait for that day.

No it doesn’t make me feel like I did much. I’m well aware of when I’m getting screwed and when my opponent is getting screwed. But at the end of the day we’re all playing the same game, so why quit early when the script could flip when it matters?

SDS

I find the games I start like that, I win. It’s the ones that I rip the ball for 4 runs in the first that I end up losing.

If I was upset you would have seen a bunch of censored words in that post. Would like to see a fair, level playing field for everyone.
Game isn't improving. They can put all the patches they want but if they don't address connections, it will stay the same.

Nope. Only way you win a game like this is if opponent swings at balls or can't hit balls down the middle. All those signs are signs of a game with bad connection. That isn't going to change. If your opponent doesn't swing at balls and can hit a pitch over the middle, you will lose. Since your good/good+ won't result in hits, you have zero chance of winning.
