You've got to be kidding me!

I was doing the 4th inning showdown, and got through the first part with all of them wins. I get to the boss, Chris Archer, and lose! I don't know how this happened! Anyone else?
-
Plenty. I've gone in 15-11 with 3 diamond players. When the RNG has it that you will lose, there's nothing you can do.
Matter of fact, that 15-11 loss had 4 double plays and one triple play.

Did that in the 3rd inning(2nd?)went 3 straight times to 2nd boss,1st I missed 1 blue other 2 I got em all, only to not hit Fingers, which is funny cause my very first attempt I beat fingers with only making 1 out.

Be patient, don't hit into a DP to start off

Yup, did that.
Do you only get inning stars if you finish the whole showdown? I have failed at the first boss twice, and don't think I have received any stars for it. Did I just miss them going in? -

Did I just miss them going in?Yeah, you need to beat the whole Showdown to get the stars. It is frustrating, but if I can do it, anyone can. I lost once to Archer, was hitting everything but just made loud outs. Try not to get to mad, easier said than done. Make sure you have 1 good SP and CP. After Archer there are either 2 or 3 pitching missions, each worth 2 runs, plus player and perks.

What is the final boss thing? I might just skip to that if it is easy ish.

You face the Cy Young Felix card, needing 16 runs to win. You have 20 outs to work with. Some players are able to do that, no way I could, I went in with the game being 15-11, and won with 4 outs left. But it doesn't hurt to try, to get a feel for how Felix pitches.

I had to face him in one of the challenges where you have to get 4 runs in one inning. I did that while getting 0 outs. I might try it. Thanks!

This one is easier to beat though. (I've tried once and was super close, going 15-6 into final ended 15-13) I will have a thread about how I should have beaten it later.

That’s on rookie, and you start with the bases loaded... the final is on Allstar, with no one on base, so a lot different. Also, I lost to Archer my first try too, 3 double plays, one on a perfect grounder right to the 2nd basemen.

I had the worst experience recently while doing the AL West Showdown for stage 2. I was down by one run on the middle boss and had the basses loaded. Hit a very deep flyball out to Judge (warning track) tagged up to score with a 80/85 speed on third out at home and then for some reason Encarnacion decided to go for 3rd without me doing anything cpu got him easily, triple play killed any chance I had of winning.
