I mainly play offline franchise, I like a challenge so usually play on legend hitting and pitching... I play currently 17 and 19 and haven’t bought 20 yet... I’m on the fence to buy 20 right now, game is on sale for 39 bucks right now, so was wondering if offline franchise is worth the price of admission...
There’s a guy on the forum, joshjays44 (I think it’s 44) who plays exclusively in franchise. He could probably tell you all you needed to know. Type his name three times in a row and he’ll show up and help.

I don’t disagree. I think for my sanity, however, I have to start looking at each game like a hand of poker. You can control whether you win or lose to a certain extent, but you can’t control tingwhat cards you get. It’s possible you could have won the game you were referring to, but it seemed like the deck was stacked against you.
This is why playing a smart game, sorry to tell alot of you guys more realistic than you think. Getting the run over , late game down by 1 let's say and FOF Posey up I'm bunting for sure. Taking an extra base with POTM Gary Sanchez on a line drive hit with Gary on first is getting you thrown out. Picked off at first with a trash speed player or constantly dancing on the lead off with same type of player or any player or bunt dancing and cheeseballing your way through the game. Those little situational things that can kill a 3nrun shot or even 1 extra run scored will be the difference.. Great response and you were right!! Told em why though with examples that will be taken out of.contact. Tell the herd the truth and
they act like they don't want to know, or if all you watch is mainstream news when our soldiers especially Special Forces get asked "What news channel gets it closest me? None of them they all lie. They control the narrative" will always be the answer . Watch a Forces interview and they get asked " What do you think about when its combat? You shut down, training takes over body reacting off muscle memory!") will be the answer. Not word for word but same point. You can brainwash people including more than one at a time . Try a whole platoon. Applies to hitting. Work the count if they pitch all balls. Most have an easy pattern you'll get 2nd or 3rd time through the order.Did you happen to notice where all of my 100+ mph exit velos were located at ? 4/5 where basically right down the middle. Here’s the thing with this game, I can take an L. I don’t get mad or frustrated about losing. I’m not competitive to the point where every loss pierced my heart. I lose around 1000 games a year, while winning around 1200. After a while you don’t care about the losses and you can still take pleasure in losing a good hard fought game of baseball to a better opponent on the day.
If, for one minute, I thought my problems with the game were down to a lack of skill or ability, I’d work to improve and get better, like I did when I started out playing online. While I’m not going to sit here and pretend I’m good at this game, because I’m not - I swing too often, at too many bad pitches, I’m far too impatient to be elite - I’ve spent almost the entire year failing to escape all star difficulty. That’s absolutely ridiculous to me, seen as I rarely played below 700 in years past. I can’t do a single thing to prevent my opponents scoring 5-15 runs per game every single game. There’s nowhere you can reliably pitch that won’t result in a 400 foot moonshot on an early swing and as I outlined above, I’m not that good a hitter that I can reply with 6-16 runs a game, even on all star. This “outslug your opponent” being the key component to success has ruined me.I used to get by with solid pitching and defense. Knowing I could induce a groundball double play when I needed to, setting the right shifts, pitching to spots that I knew my opponent struggled to hit well, without leaning on that spot, or that pitch, as a crutch because they’d get wise to it, but keeping it in my back pocket as an out pitch or get-me-over strike. All that has evaporated like spilt water in the Arizona sun. Any pitch can randomly be launched out of the park, or bounced over the wall for a scripted ground rule double (on which both your nearest outfielders will get a simultaneous bad jump off the bat, so you can stop running. It’s a GRD instantly the dice roll is over and the ball is in play and we all know it is). The tactical aspect of the game is absent, certainly at all star level and I can’t slug my way to the top with a 8.00 ERA, but a .400 BA to get me through.
That’s why I’ll be quitting MLB the Show after this year and not looking back. This isn’t the game for me, I’m looking for something a little more tactical, mentally challenging and more like actual baseball than this home run derby that we’ve been presented with this year. -

This game trash, if it wasn't 90 percent rng and the better player actually won the games they should, sds wouldnt be able to acquire noobs to spend hundreds on their "not pay to win" dd mode, even though to compete you have to have mantle that by my math cost about 800 dollars still lol, sad state when you care about acquiring new players more than appeasing the ones that supported you for years. Skill gap doesnt exist here, its good/okay and pray
