SDS why did you remove players real faces for DD??????

Love how in MLB the show 17 you had the players real picture in game. Now when you watch the scoreboard screen you have the generic cartoony face for the player. Does it have to do anything with using their likeness for a team they are not on? I know in franchise you have their real face in game so it's not that they are not in the game.
Don't understand why it got removed from DD in the show 18. Would love if they can bring it back. Would rather enjoy seeing a familiar face than some cartoon picture.

Agreed, thought the same thing . Thought maybe their design team wanted to prove how good they were but I agree I liked the real pics better.

I’m pretty sure because the picture you see on the board has them in your teams Cap and Uniform.
The same thing goes for franchise. If a player switches teams then their picture becomes the “cartoony” face as well, showing them in their new teams cap and uniform

I think it is because we each have a custom uniform. That is what I think.
