I really hate what this game has become content wise. I loved grinding out stats. I am thinking about going back to 18 and picking up where I left off but am weary that the dumb money grab souvenirs will stop me from enjoying the game. Are the souvenirs still a pain to collect? I think I have around 120K stubs left.

Side note: I wish I could take my 19 stubs into 18, I have about 2M sitting there.

I so miss the Immortal grind in 18. I never got one, took up MLB too late into that season and dumbly bought 19 hoping for more of the same and it was gone. I loved getting a weak card and having to get stats with it to get better cards and work my way towards awesome cards, instead of just being expected to buy packs twice a week hoping to get them.

18 is the version of the game I played less than any other version. When I realized just how much of the progression was tucked behind, souvenirs, grinding stats with players who normally would not make your team, and exchanges I simply quit.

Oh and it was the year they went with archetypes in RTTS so that could not even hold my interest.

I spent less than 60 hours total in the game that year

Pitching in 18 got patched improved a bit.. offline 18 is decent, not as good as 16 or 17 though ... 17 and 19 are the versions I play the most, both offer a good offline experience... 16 I occasionally go to as well...
