The second this game launches, most of the team is already working on the next game. The small team that stays, is there for what makes all the money (DD). That's it. Franchise is a static mode, and once the game is released its forgotten about.
Yeah that's the reality of it, it was a shot in the dark really. Every year I try to play Franchise as close to reality as possible, make all the major trades during the season and also the trade deadline...I spend like 50 hours testing Sliders to yield RL results before I start Franchise bla bla bla....so just having to play 162 games this year when actual baseball is gonna prolly play half of that feels off so maybe I'll just hang it up this year and just wait for 2021.

Online casuals spend just as many hours collecting cards and staying up all night for stub sales. Its about 50 hours over two months cringe fest, I usually don't start a Franchise till about June when True Sims Rosters are completed so I go into a season with proper ratings and equipment and a RL simulation Slider set.

Lets all hope there actually will be live baseball this year in some capacity and if that's the case I hope SDS patches it in or release a DLC to reflect whatever Schedule this year's season turns out to be. Heck I'll pay another 50 bucks for that DLC.
I would actually be shocked if there is live mlb baseball this year. Players are wanting full pro-rated salaries when the revenue from the sport just isn't there to support that. Baseball is going to take a big hit just like it did in 1994. People just aren't interested in hearing 30 million/yr athletes stating they can't play for 5 million for 3 months.

Yep, with no actual baseball in site I have little to no desire to keep testing for Franchise mode...I have a fairly decent Slider set up using Mike Lowe's and my own tweaks but I need real baseball to happen so I can base my season to reflect real baseball as close as possible with trades. Obviously for you online casual noobs its nothing, there could be no baseball for the next 5 years and you guys wouldn't care, just as long as you can collect your cards and play Super Mega Baseball among yourselves.

Yep, with no actual baseball in site I have little to no desire to keep testing for Franchise mode...I have a fairly decent Slider set up using Mike Lowe's and my own tweaks but I need real baseball to happen so I can base my season to reflect real baseball as close as possible with trades. Obviously for you online casual noobs its nothing, there could be no baseball for the next 5 years and you guys wouldn't care, just as long as you can collect your cards and play Super Mega Baseball among yourselves.

Who's better a guy that plays on All-star 1000 hours or a guy that has played on Legend for 100 hours?, we'll keep online people out of the discussion cause they could play till the age of the universe and still be a casual noob.

I don’t know if the guy who plays 1000 hours on AS is necessarily better than the guy who plays on legend for 100 hours. But I do know with absolute certainty that they’re both better than the guy who plays Franchise for 12 hours.

I don’t know if the guy who plays 1000 hours on AS is necessarily better than the guy who plays on legend for 100 hours. But I do know with absolute certainty that they’re both better than the guy who plays Franchise for 12 hours.
Do you have the short term memory of a fish?, I've said many times that I haven't started a Franchise yet or a desire to keep testing until maybe there's an indication of an actual baseball season. If baseball was kicking I would be playing at least a Franchise game a day.
