I'll leave with this bit of quotation
"Straw Man Argument: A subtype of the red herring, this fallacy includes any lame attempt to "prove" an argument by overstating, exaggerating, or over-simplifying the arguments of the opposing side. "@SchnauzerFace > talks about people spending $50-100ish
Untchable exaggarating the argument by pretending the conversation is about thousands of dollars.
I rest my case.

Now that is done enjoy those guys telling you spending money on the game is a great investment for page after page. No vested interest. It’s just that virtual card values appreciate so much year after year get you money in.
-
I do when it’s 50 percent off

How's the value on the PS4 you own, or the computer/phone your typing on right now? Give it up man, you do it too.
If you've ever purchased an iPhone you lost what, $500? If you ever bought a car, you lost thousands.
These guys spent $100 on a video game....that's a cheap restaurant in a lot of places in the country.
-
Back in 17 I bought extra stubs. Not a chance in hell until we get ping indicators and/or ping based match making.
-
I never bought the $100 bundle but I've bought the $50 bundle quite a few times in the past few years. I think this year and last year were the first time I did no money spent, but then of course I ruined it last week when I bought $50 worth of Stubs to help me top-up and finish off the Live Series collection.
-
I started the game just 2 weeks ago this year and I spent about $150 to get a headstart. Some see spending money as being suckers, but for me the time it would take me to grind out say 200k stubs is so much more valuable to me than $150 dollars. I enjoy the game, but I work 50 hours a week and don't have the means to sit and play moments 8 hours a day. I spend money so the little time I do get I can play RS with a decent team instead of grind all the time.
-
I saved a bunch of money by switching to Geico so I've definitely used the savings to buy a 150,000 stubs.
-
Yea I just paid $300 to have soil aka dirt brought to my house so my wife can put her plants into the ground. That's after I spent about 25 man hours digging out 3 foot holes and constructing a 15x18 outdoor garden.
I spent $300 on dirt...dirt.

Before I was married with a kid, I'd blow $100-$500 at a bar, 2-3 times a week.
$100 a week on something I put quite a bit of time to is a total non issue..
If I didn't have the income, sure, it would be stupid to do that.. but I do, so whatever.
Last week I spent $1500 on upgrading my dishwasher to have a 3rd rack and be quieter even though our old one was just fine. Happy wifeI would be your "wife" in that scenario as I got rid of ours after 1.5 years because I found it too noisey. This one will probably wash my taint as well if I wanted lol
What'd you get?
I got a Bosch 800 series. It's dope!
Haha we got the 800 series as well. It is pretty sweet, as far as dishwashers go that is lol
My 20 year old self is shaking his head at me right now
Our 20 year old selves never understand the awesomeness that is getting adult things for the house. My 20 year old self would of laughed at me for being excited about getting a kitchenaid at my wife's wedding shower lol

It’s fun reading all the justifications.
If you own your house and your networth is north of a million and your under 35 then spending a couple grand a year on games is meh but okay.
If not talk to some old people who eat cat food to save money and ask how their life is and would they rather have virtual cards when they are young or eat regular food and have financial independence when they are older. I’m guessing they won’t take Mickey Mantle card for a year lol.
To each their own tho. I guess we all have different plans in life otherwise everybody would be happy.
Uh, that's why we have things called retirement plans, investments, and savings accounts. Everyone's largest discretionary spending is on entertainment. Some prefer video games. Others like restaurants, movies, golfing, fishing, cars, guitars, or whatever else floats your boat.
If you are only spending your money on the most essential items and saving the rest, you will be old, eating the premium cat food, and wishing you had done something with your life before you were too old to enjoy it.
Or traveling the country in their old age, playing lots of golf, enjoying finer things in life. I guess you could call that premium cat food. Find any financial planner that tells you to blow what’s probably 5-10% or more of you or discretionary income on virtual cards and we can talk about it lol.
What is the difference between blowing $100 on virtual cards are traveling? One cost thousands of dollars and is gone right away and the other is only 100 dollars and lasts longer

I did and that decision made me homeless @SchnauzerFace said in 150,000 Stubs for $99.99:
If nobody bought them, they wouldn’t be in the market. I’m sure a very substantial percentage of players on this forum have bought $100 worth of stubs, but I’m also sure that most wont admit to it.

What a ridiculous take.
And why do you seem to know so many old people who eat cat food? If you’re the second coming of John Rockefeller, why aren’t you buying the old people some real food?
Here’s a thought — I don’t drink and I never have. I am 36 and I have literally never paid for alcohol for myself in my life. If you’ve spent even a single penny on alcohol, then I think you’re destined to eat cat food. You see how that works? You make ridiculous judgments about our entertainment budgets, and we get to do the same.
It’s not close to the same. Price wouldn’t add up. Whatever makes you feel better for throwing your future away for virtual cards though I’m all for it. As long as we feel good inside.
You don’t think it’s bad enough to spend a third or more of your waking life on game imagine sprinkling in 10-20% of annual income for some people. Good luck finding any expert on anything to back that one up bud lol.
No expert or non expert is going to back up spending 10%-20% of your annual income on stubs lol. You are being ridiculous. We are talking about dropping a fiddy or a hundo every now and then. You’re talking about spending $10K plus. You’re nuts bro. No one here is defending that
He's gotta go to the extreme, he has no other case otherwise. Everyone has an entertainment fd, some spend it on movies, some beer, some vio games. He can't defend against that logic so he has to stretch what your saying.
It’s not even an extreme. I’d love to see some of y’all budgets and credit reports lol.
I’m not even judging. Just talking logically. You spend money on the game that’s okay but don’t be upset with somebody who says logically it’s not the best place to spend money.
I’ll show you my tax returns and credit report after you find an English teacher who approves of the phrase “y’all budgets.”
And I love that you say “I’m not even judging” when you have done nothing but judge. And it’s even better that you follow it with “just talking logically” when you’ve been nothing but illogical in the presentation of your argument.
And if your whole point is that stubs — or even any type of entertainment in general — is “not the best place to spend money” .... no effing S, bro. You clearly spend money on entertainment because you have a ps4 and you spent minimum $50 on this game. Was that the best place to spend money?
Big bank take little bank, you want to bet who has the higher net worth?
Anyone who brags about net worth has none...bet you are 16 and you live in your parent's basement

Simple experiment 16 year old, what is a better investment, something that last 1 day or 1 year, how about something that last 1 week compared to 5 months?
So I better hope you never do this:
Eat out
Drink
Go shopping
Vacation
Gamble
Smoke
