I played 5 games of the event and got match up with try hards that are at prestige or diamond. I dont understand the logic with matchmaking.

I've Never seen it be so cool to be broke. People go out of their way to to tell others they don't spend money.

SDS

"These losers will win every time" 🤔🤯

It’s some kind of video game merit system, like digital cred. I could care less either way how anyone builds their team. I just want to build mine and compete against others bringing their best. It’s really just a jealousy thing because they are likely not in the position to spend money and wish they could as opposed to grinding countless hours to get a similar squad. To me the grinding is fun and does not make me bitter, if it’s not fun, I don’t do it. It’s a game not a second job.

Also if you have a decent career it’s a lot more economic to spend some money rather than spend hours grinding for a lot of folks. To each their own, the humble man and the wise man know not to judge. Those who judge others are just afraid to look at themselves critically because they know there’s a lot to address. Sorry to get deep (((ohm)))

SDS

Nah. Not really that at all. It’s like using a beat up, old, dead bat when the other team is using a brand new one. I’m not going to spend money on a toy. But if those that want to do, don’t think for one minute that they’re actually better at the game than you. They just have to give themselves an advantage. Like if steroids were legal, I still wouldn’t take them. I’d rather just be better. But that doesn’t mean I’m not going to talk [censored] about those who do.

Dude the game is about building the best team
possible, cards you do the best with. Maybe we should just all play socialist ball where everyone had a team cap. I’m sure you would still complain. This line of thinking your taking is nothing but a complete waste of time for you. Keep letting people live in your head rent free, it’s probably why you can’t beat said people. Maybe they want to spend money to get the cards they want to play with, win or loss because it’s FUN. Maybe it’s not about being better than you, ever think everything isn’t about you? Maybe they didn’t even spend money as other people in here have done. Lay off the salt, your sounding like that guy no one wants to be around

Also your analogy makes my point above your post perfectly. Your just jealous and can’t process your emotion in a healthy manner. You can’t afford a new bat, so your salty at those who can. And you don’t think it’s fair that they don’t just hand out new bats to all the kids who can’t afford one. It’s not your opponents fault you can’t beat them, new bat or not. Grow up and let the adults talk here

SDS

So what are we playing for? Competition right? To see if we’re better than someone else. Otherwise, there’d be no online play. Everyone would just play against the CPU. So in competitions, actual live tournaments, do you use your DD squads or are there fixed Mlb teams you have to use? That’s my point you obnoxious, misinformed, infant.

SDS

And by the way, I know I have more in my savings account than most people do because I don’t waste it on stupid [censored] like this. That’s another point. And I’m not going to just because somebody else needs an edge to beat me.

mantle is the only good switch hitting card that is hard to get. all the others are free cards in inning bosses

This. My most productive players in the event were Santana, Bell, Moncada, Brujan and Chipper. All free through TA programs and 1 inning boss.

Good for you. You know it's entirely possible to do the collections for Mantle without spending a dime right? I've been doing it like that for a while now.

SDS

Well then I absolutely respect that. And I’m sure all the practice you got to get mantle made you a good enough player regardless so this wouldn’t really apply to you.

Thanks, but you don't even have to be a good player to do it. You could work the market by flipping cards and make millions of stubs. It's not the most enjoyable thing to do and it's time consuming but many people do it this way.

SDS

I did collections without spending money or flipping cards. I don't buy packs I save my stubbs and I bought player's wisely. I pulled Trout and some diamonds out all the free packs I got.
Spending money, high xp etc doesn't make anyone a good player. Practice does.
Also why is there so many people worried about what grown men or women do with their hard earned money? It's either jealousy or them being broke!! IJS

SDS

I thought the socialist baseball comment was especially interesting.

I mostly don’t spend money on this game, but I have opened my wallet to get a couple of those Mariners prospect cards.

It’s true that to some extent, better cards can help get better results in this game, but it’s a pretty minor advantage. I’ve lost to mostly gold teams and beaten god squads.

Why not just enjoy the game the way you want and let other people do the same?

SDS

I spent $200 when the game dropped an no regrets. Total investment for like $280 when you consider purchasing the game + stubs.

I'm like at <$0.50/hour of entertainment so far. Pretty solid return on investment from an entertainment point of view.

This event is great because I'm wearing it out going for Mantle/Chipper prestige. I'm even using Roberts/Victorino just for fun.

SDS

This has to be one of the sorriest posts ever made on this forum. "I don't like this event and I'm going to tell other people they shouldn't play it because everyone I play has better cards than me".

I’ve got mantle and Franco and I’ve spent $40 on this game when it first dropped. It’s not hard to complete everything. Just play and don’t cry.

Dude, why don’t you go [censored] yourself.

Cry more please.

Lmao not spending money on the game doesn’t mean you’re broke. Maybe you’d rather spend that money on other things? Or maybe you like achieving things in the game without the additional help of buying stubs. The post referenced people buying players, so obviously people are gonna post about not buying players. Good try though

No one cares about getting your respect about such trivial petty issues.
