Honestly confused why my relievers keep “getting tired” after throwing 5 pitches...is this normal or am I doing something wrong?!?

I know that pitching stamina seems to be lowered for the event games but giving them effectively 5-10 pitches is sorta unbelievable especially with the 3-batter rule...

Sorry if this topic has already been answered before but new to online play & would appreciate any advice from the community! Thanks

Are you warming them up before bringing them in?

They tend to get tired even faster if pitching in high stress situations, or if they don’t immediately get some outs.

Yeah always make sure they’re 100% warmed up before putting them in but appreciate the advice since guess it makes sense about the high-leverage situations taking a greater toll on a pitcher’s stamina.

It’s too bad that there are so few good relievers available to use during these events because seems like you’re stuck choosing between semi-effectively guys with low stamina or converted SP’s that would get destroyed in these event contests....I’m also just not very good at video games I guess lol

Nope another thing that is broken in the game. My favorite is when you bring them in fully warm and they are in the yellow and there confidence is below 50% before even throwing a pitch. Like did they trip running to the mound from the bullpen, why is there confidence shot.

I wish I was joking but think you’re guys are the “workhorse” relievers since most of my guys are gassed after 4 pitches!

But glad to hear I wasn’t the only one that can’t make sense of SDS’s decision to patch the game so it’s a lot harder to throw non-meatball strikes which would almost be okay if you had more than 6 pitches to allocate to at least 3 batters...so maybe that’s why they just help us out by throwing a “perfect release” down the middle so it can get hammered out haha

Even SPs are insane..... tired after playing pitching an inning

You're doing nothing wrong. Reliever stamina is messed up like this across all DD modes (except friendlies or play vs. CPU)

Still holding out hope they fix it but 🤷‍♂️
