People were kidding about this yesterday and it’s real tomorrow. What’s the deal SDS? Another Brave? Why?

Finally showing some love for the best team in the 90’s

Toronto won more World Series in the 1990s than Atlanta

Yeah...and? Miami won one as well. So I guess they're as good as the Braves in the 90’s? How many times did they make it to the playoffs after the 93’ season or win a division? Don’t worry, I’ll wait.

Toronto won 2 championships... And won division in '91 as well. Almost '90 as well... '94 was strike year...

So 2 titles and 3 division wins...
Only the Yankees can beat that in the 90's with 3 titles...

First half of the 90's belong to the Jays..
    Second half to the Yanks.

I said 90’s. Not 3 Yrs of the 90’s. Yankees shouldn’t have been there if the ump wasn’t Stevie wonders. 98’ padres was a great team with awesome pitching.

    I'll take 2 championships over 1.. lol
And the Braves won 106 games in 1998. 8 more than the Padres. That's an upset..
Awesome pitching? You mean like the Braves?

Just because they won more in reg. season doesn't mean squat in post season. Ask the 116 win Mariners. Pitching has always been there. Hitting just flat out sucked. Look at the top hitters for the Braves every postseason. Sheffield and JD Drew were
bums. But good pitching will alw
good hitting. Keep riding the early 90’s magic tho...

That's all the Braves were though. Regular season warriors. All Braves fans have to remember fondly of the 90's was 1995 and regular season dominance.. nothing else.

Jays fans get to remember 2 incredible championships. I'll take that.
Also, Jays were dominant like the Braves from 1985-1993. Much longer than 3 years bud... You can thank Bobby Cox for starting that too 😏

Your getting off track. We’re talking about the 90’s. Nobody had better overall success than the Braves in the 90’s. Champions or not. It’s much tougher to win the division 10 straight years than winning a championship. Any baseball expert would and has agreed to that. Just google it.

You want to see some bad umpiring, watch highlights of Tom Glavine and Greg Maddux

If you want to see the marlins win a game. Watch Eric Gregg hand it to them in the playoffs.

Actually we are getting two Braves. Lofton played for the Braves in '97, thanks to that worthless Justice trade. I still to this day don't know why they traded him.

I think they thought they could resign Lofton but that turned out to be wrong. Keeping the big 3 was expensive (Maddux, Smoltz, Glavine).
The trade was a wash before Lofton resigned in CLE...

Yes I would.. because they have 3 championships. Then the Red Sox with 2..
    Championships define success.
If all teams in the 90's only won 1 title each, then I'd say the Braves were the team of the 90's, going by reg season dominance. But 2 teams won more titles than them.. simple as that. Division titles are being the best of 5 teams.. 8 before 1995.. big deal.
Being the best of 28-30 teams is really what matters

You know he led the league in triples and had an OPS of .841 as a platoon player one season. I dont see how that could be considered a terrible baseball player.

1 season he was pretty good.. (1992) not all star level but pretty good...
The other 10 seasons he was replacement level. Even below replacement level in a couple.

That's a terrible baseball player. His name was much bigger than he actually was. At least in this sport. In football he was much better

Man it would be awesome to get a Flashback for some more recent Giants players. Ya know from those players that won 3 world series so close together... without even having to bang on a f'n trash can. Or would that make too much sense for the year 2020 where nothing makes sense at all?

    Marco Scutaro please.

Of course he was better in football. It's kind of hard to be better in another sport than being the best cover corner to ever play the game (and extremely good returner).

That's just it. I'm not saying if Deion gave his all to baseball he wouldn't have been great. He was an incredible athlete. But baseball always took a back seat. He never played too many baseball games because he'd leave his team's behind for football.
But because of this, he never realized any potential in baseball and therefore was a subpar baseball player. He wasn't good at all besides that one season.
In football he's one of the best special teams cover corner ever, like you said.

People were kidding about this yesterday and it’s real tomorrow. What’s the deal SDS? Another Brave? Why?

Finally showing some love for the best team in the 90’s.
