I am at a loss for words

This is just one of many, many issues I've encountered in the last day of playing. Just lost a game now bc my guy didn't stop running at 2nd despite the fact that I had the slide button held down and hadn't pressed L1 in a moment.
This is my first year of DD. I came from 2K. While I cannot praise this game enough for the overall package of game modes, rewarding content, etc. I have never felt more cheated by a broken game in all my years of playing sports games both online and offline.

Been playing for over a decade, though not online much until the last few years. 2K has some crazy algorithm BS but aspects of MLB this year feel so fundamentally broken. Not even gonna touch on the frequency of good/good and good/okay that are outs. It is fielding and base running that are just beyond broken at times and ruin my enjoyment
I'll still play the game and on the whole I have a ton of fun. I have never played a more rewarding game in terms of the sheer amount of content you can get just by playing. It is just a shame that what should be the mastered piece in all of this feels so behind everything else

I’m sure all the issues your having are 100% your fault. There’s about 5-7 people on here who can explain that to you. They’ll be here in a bit, maybe, sometimes they don’t come around when there’s visual proof of something shady in the game.

I hate when that happens. Lag seems to have a lot to do with it but it always seems to come when you are down and get a leadoff double.

The overrunning one? Yeah both times it happened to me today was no one on base double. Once it was with two outs, other time was leadoff. I have very few lag issues at all (Ethernet with good speeds) but wouldn’t surprise me at all if it was a lag spike or something at the wrong time

The overrunning of 2nd base in particular and getting tagged out has happened to me ALOT - usually when stealing.
I'll press for a headfirst slide and my guy will just run through the base and keep running toward 3rd and then get tagged out by the second baseman.
It's been rough in online games in particular.
I've attempted to counter it by holding R1 when sliding, but it doesnt always work.
Somethings been bugged about this in particular since the game came out.

Well that may be, but whenever it has happened to me, it has been in a laggy game online.
I usually hold the advance all until the runner gets past first base and then spam triangle hoping he will stop at second. I need to learn to not use L1.

No, but I don't typically try to steal very often, so I don't worry too much about it. At least I'm not running by bases instead of sliding.
