Non-player lock manually timed steal?

With the patching of the near guaranteed perfect jump (It's not 100%) glitch, I have to ask. Is there a way to get reliable jumps manually? Holding L2 and releasing when the pitcher moves still leads to very late jumps with highly rated base stealers for me. that method has led to a LOT of CS with Rickey Henderson, Byron Buxton, and various other speedsters with good steal ratings. I know it USED to be great, but in 20 it seems that there's more randomness to that, which doesn't make sense for the baserunners I try to time it with

Nope it’s random ... I manually jump on my steals and I noticed they delay your jump randomly, it’s just kinda how they fixed stealing from being so easy ... It’s a cheesy fix.. What they should do is adjust the speed of the base runners, or make the catcher react quicker and throw faster ...

While it's not as prevalent as it ust to be stealing is still part of the strategy in baseball. People steal bags. I miss old school get em on get them over get them in.. I miss the sac bunt leading to a sac fly which is almost extinct in baseball but is one of the best strategies to get a man from 2and to third with 1 out or less. I still play as fundamental as I can but stealing I think has a great medium this year where it cant be abused.

It's nice that it can't be abused, but it's obnoxious watching Rickey pick his nose instead of running to second
