Victor can you confirm that the fielding improvement also affect infielders?
Yes, many of these improvements also effect infielders.
Hopefully hitting will be addressed soon?? Especially HIDP with runner on first. Every single time.
they havent called it an issue yet so I doubt they will ever fix it

Lost two games in a row cause of fielding. Ridiculous

Maybe it was a one off, but I had Ricky Henderson thrown out on a steal attempt to second with the pitcher throwing off speed and with a full leg kick. I hope the patch’s steal balancing didn’t make it impossible.
Great... and I was banking on doing the moments to finish the Jackie program. Lol

Homerun banner is still active after homeruns.

We give a lot of feedback on here - Well I know I do - but we don’t get much back in reciprocation from SDS. I’d love to know how they feel about their product, I really would. I’d love to know how many of the dev team who actually build the moving parts play the game on HoF or legend. The one thing I’ve learned from watching other players on twitch and so on, is that I’m not alone in my frustrations. I can’t imagine anyone who is involved in the creation of this game playing RS on legend. I just can’t envisage it somehow. I’ve never seen anyone I know to be affiliated with SDS on the leaderboards to confirm they play the [censored] out of it like we do (Not that I know anyone at SDS by PSN gamertag, I’m just thinking aloud here, kinda musing to myself on this one). I know Tips used to play the game a bit, I dunno where I’m going with this exactly, or quite why I posted it on this feedback thread. I’d just like to see what SDS truthfully think about the game and players in general, even if they were of an opinion that differed from the majority of the people who submit feedback here.

Personally I'm more concerned with how bunting isn't fixed like come on fielders in mlb know how to handle bunts yet any bunt towards 1st in this game is a hit and that is what leads to the toxic "bunt dancers" since they know they can abuse this exploit

Nah bro, the reason people bunt dance is because it messes up your pitching if you use meter.

Strictly Off-line Player:
Runners not sliding into bag, casual jog within 2-3 steps and tagged out; fielders moving slow motion on grounders and fly balls; no sense of urgency on throws after fielding; outfielders throwing home are always off target (unlike CPU); CPU 0 speed is faster than player 43 speed; hitting timing for player is still off; pitching is still off kilter with excellent release a [censored]-shoot; CPU called strikes on the black, none for player; CPU knows exactly when you're going to steal; player pitchers with very good to excellent control are very wild and routinely miss spots while CPU common 60+ pitcher dots the zone with Maddux precision; CPU defense is the greatest show on turf while your gold/diamond fielders have zero try; difficulty versus CPU is not matching correctly and it's evident with the way the CPU responds during gameplay (this is happening during content drops and is usually corrected on the usual Sunday or Monday "server maintenance" routine).
I've been dedicated and loyal to this game...however I'm disappointed with the product (except for content releases...the issue is overall gameplay) and the fun factor is at a low. My Show morale is slowly evaporating...

Victor gonna acknowledge any of us asking about hitting or just gonna pretend like no one asked. At this point a simple “hitting won’t be fixed” would even be nice

Pretty sure it’s standard orders from years ago to not specifically address concerns about anything that isn’t relevant to the patch at hand and what fixes have been implemented. You’ll get absolutely zero response unless there’s a confirmed change to hitting in a released patch and then you’ll basically only get what’s in the patch notes regurgitated in a different manner of speaking. Company policy.
-
Victor please explain this bc I know you will not respond to my op:
The pitch was a forkball by fingers in the 9th, down by 2, with 2 on. This is flat out unacceptable and am showing proof of the BS that is going on right now. How do you expect us to be competitive?

Good luck. Stealing is broken and I don’t speaking in hyperbole. I can’t steal and from what I’ve heard from others, no one can.

Middle infielders need to have more of a sense of urgency when turning two... The routine double play is far from "routine".

Anybody else getting brutalized by the baserunning? I find that it’s costing me games more than about anything else. Just had a runner on 1st and 2nd. Hit a ground ball up the middle. I immediately pressed L1 so they wouldn’t all freeze in the middle of the base paths as they do often do, and lo and behold, they all got programmed to run to 3rd. Can anybody guess what happened then? Answer: A lot of outs at third. Any word on any baserunning adjustments?
-
Things that drive me nuts this year; bad connections degrading gameplay, drag bunts being op, check swings being too frequent and rarely punished, bad pitch location with fairly good input, good/okay on good swing input, can’t catch a ball near the outfield wall.
If you could somehow fix or adjust those things, or the ones you can control, we’d have a decent game here. -

I would love to have seen this, your description makes me think of those old silent movies with the slapstick jokes where peoples are all running in a line and the first one stops and then they all run into each other. Did you capture any video?

Sadly, I didn’t. But I can still see it when I close my eyes.

Well outfield fielding is better however the the infield is still infected. Playing MTO and a slow grounder up the middle and both second base and short over ran the ball and wouldn't pick it up. Also had a MTO outfielder that had the red ring around the ball but then the ball fell and rolled pasted to the wall.
Also why adjust the home run derby xp it has always been 25xp for year and years. It is the only mode my wife and I play together and 8xp is all you get now. Why take away double rewards but still have fielding bugs?

Another update and disapppointgly not much done to make starters as relievers an "emergency" decision.
Here is what needs to be done. If a started is brought in as a reliever, he should be double taxed on stamina for every pitch. If the starter was not at full rest when put into the game, there should be a 1 game penalty where that starter recieves no stamina recouperation. Penalties for pitching gassed should be steeper, and you should hit red stamina sooner say 20% as opposed to the 10-15 it's at now. Putting a starter in as a reliever should be an emergency extra innings decision, not the META.
They can't even get coding to work for fielders and you want them to implant code to determine how often a pitcher has come into a game?
The easier solution is to either go back to Starter Roulette or get rid of the option of having a starter come in as a reliever.
Yeah, the stamina issues could be fixed like a tuner update, wouldn't need a full on patch. The penalty to stop regen for 1 game would need to be in a full patch.

Victor can we get any information on the good/okay hitting feedback. I have not read anything from sds that has talked about this. I just would like to know what is the plan with hitting, and if it is being planned to tweak or to stay where it is?
The fact this didn't get replied to or any posts similar to it by sds themselves shows they have no plans of being transparent about the hitting. They are gonna keep us in the dark and then turn off the hr/9 stat again.
