Just the growing pains of using directional dude. I was there before. Eventually you’ll realize you need to make the switch.
I use directional against the CPU on All Star with default sliders and I get realistic contact results for the most part, its perhaps a little over powered and needs some slight tweaks. These HUGE slider changes that SDS has made makes it impossible to hit on directional. Of course I only am playing because of covid. I took a break from the game last year after playing it for 10 years because its the same things year after year that are wrong with the game. I guess they got lucky there was a pandemic and people like me purchased their game.
You posted about this earlier and I asked you for proof that they indeed adjust sliders. You never replied. I'm not surprised by that, because you don't have any. Now I learn you use directional hitting. I think you need to switch to zone and get better at the game instead of complaining about "adjusted sliders and stealth changes".
I like real baseball, you know, simulation results. Not arcade. Not using zone, never have, never will. If its the last time I play this game because they cater to the arcade crowd, so be it.
One could make the argument that you are the arcade crowd because you use directional hitting. I asked you a question though for the second time, now the third time, that you conveniently ignore.
RESULTS dude! Thats the proof! I didnt forget how to press the button at the right time with high vision guys like Soto and Albies since Saturday.
That's not proof my man, that's all personal experience and opinions. Come back when you have some actual factual undeniable proof and I suggest you go practice in the meantime.

Wouldn’t using directional be more “arcade” then using zone? Directional just requires user to swing when they believe timing is right and using zone requires user to line up zone to where the pitch actually is?
Do MLB players have a PCI that they wiggle around so they can hit every pitch? No they have to time their swing correctly.
But they have to use hand eye coordination, similar to zone? NOT saying real baseball is easy at all, just making the statement for the sake of this conversation.
Directional is my hand eye coordination to swing at the right, or wrong time, and the players attributes do the rest. Zone players lay down perfect drag bunts with pitchers just because they got the PCI in the right location, is that realistic? Pitchers can barely bunt when they set up for it, let alone drag bunt.

You do realize you don't use the pci on bunting right? That's not how bunting works. Bunting is basically directional whether your using zone or directional.

When you bunt on zone the PCI disappears.

We should probably just leave OP alone, he has proven by now that he doesn't really know what's what in this game.

Switch to zone

This thread was a good laugh.

It is kind of funny to think of the devs secretly adjusting sliders all the time, just to mess with you.
Picture them sitting on virtual meetings discussing topics like "we don't have enough complaining on the forums, let's do it again!".
-
That's right... They employ a guy, who adjusts the sliders just for you, randomly after weekends, even though it doesn't affect your opponent, just to frustrate you.
This guy has an office, and makes 75k a year with full benefits.
Orrrrrrrrrr.... You're using directional, which is a total crapshoot, and you're so stubborn to learn how to properly play the game and improve... -
Is this guy serious? You think might Trout is up there closing his eyes and swinging on hopes and prayers. Hitting is all about hand-EYE coordination. That's their PCI. GTFO and go play Soccer.
-
If you're "good" Zone by far has the best advantage. If you're not... i'd say you're more likely to get lucky and connect with directional.

The game caters so much to you as a directional user already. I really don’t understand bashing zone users. Most of us feel the game has really been compromised in order to accommodate players like you.
Have difficulty hitting your spots with your pitcher? You have directional hitting to blame.

So you like having the game decide your outcomes for you Instead of your own input? Reminds me of people who play 2k using real fg% instead of timing their own jumpshots. I don't get it. No hate though. To each his own.

They didn’t adjust sliders. Quit making excuses for yourself or you’ll never get better.
Game plays completely different than it did for me on Friday and Saturday. I was actually thinking they were making some correct adjustments and results were starting to see more realistic. But now they have swung it in the opposite direction.
Take 2 days off and report back

Sliders have definitely been adjusted by SDS, this is ridiculous. I have ZERO hard hit balls now, no more perfects, no more squared up, everything is weak, okay or good. Pitch location is even worse. Make a directional division and a zone division so that directional people can have some fun and get some realistic results.
How is directional realistic
The people that usually make this claim about directional just don’t have the ability to use zone well enough to make the change. So they just complain about zone because it’s “unrealistic”.
