Anyone else find it odd that he's not in the game? The Rays big free agent acquisition, $12 mill for two years, yet I can't play with him during my MTO runs. Feels like I'm using a team that's worse than they should be.

They have the rights now to the players that are playing in the MiLB. They can use them all they want

So they don’t have the rights to foreign players like yoshi yet, despite them being on major league rosters?

If they have not played yet no. I'm not 100% sure of the legalities but that's what is alwasy said about these situations

Until Yoshi plays in a Major League game, he is technically not covered under the MLB union, Minor leaguers aren't either, but they fall under a sort of grey area, I'm assuming whatever SDS did to get their rights, Topps also has the same type of agreement for when they make their minor league card sets like Bowman.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere SDS has had the rights for minor leaguers, they just never used them. Until this year, when they turned them into DD cards for money. It had nothing to do with trying to improve franchise even though that's how they spin it
• Alec Bohm(PHI)
• Nick Madrigal(CWS)
• Estevan Florial(NYY)
• Jo Adell(LAA)
• Seth Beer(AZ)
• Mackenzie Gore(SD)
• Nate Pearson(TOR)
These are among players that haven't played in a official MLB game yet and they are in the game and of course there are more players in the game that haven't played a MLB game and are in the game to be honest Sony Interactive Entertainment has paid for Minor League Baseball (MiLB) licensing since MLB 06 I don't know why they decided to use them now in 2020 they should've started along time a go so saying that they have to play an official major League game to be put in the game is false...
And when it comes down to these individuals
• Yoshitomo Tsutsugo(TB)
• Shun Yamaguchi(TOR)
• Shao-Ching Chiang(DET)
• Kwang-Hyun Kim(STL)
• Shogo Akiyama(CIN)
Maybe is contract issues maybe they had agreed on a deal and haven't signed yet or is more that they are overseas but to say that they are not in because they haven't played a major league baseball game I don't think so if that's the case once these individuals signed their contracts with their respective teams they should go under the agreement of (MiLB) licensing
