I was just looking at the collection for snell and how much it would cost. You need 6 to complete it and as of now that’s about 46k stubs. Completing the program gets you snell and 20 stars for 3rd inning. I have no intention on really using snell I would only do it for the stars. But 20 stars isn’t worth 46k. However the 3rd inning voucher for collecting all 2nd inning bosses is around 50-60k if you did the 2nd inning program. Collecting those gives you 70 stars for the 3rd inning. So if your like me and only doing the snell program for the stars I would change it up and spend the stubs on the 2nd inning bosses to get the voucher and your 70 stars. If you do showdown as well that pretty much halfway there.

Price tag isnt all that bad, after you get the 3 cards for program, but I don't need the program points and that card just isn't worth the 46k to me honestly. My only gripe will be not seeing the word complete next to it, so if I do it, it will be after I have all the cards I want and 46k is nothing.

I did it and got judge out of the balling pack and several golds out of the packs, so I got to do the whole thing for like 20k, honestly I gambled in pulling a diamond in those packs to offset the cost or make stubs and it worked, kind of

You mean 46k on top of the cards you earn. I was looking at it as well, and you can get about 50-55k for the three cards you earn if you sold them. So, instead, to get Snell, in my opinion, it’s really costing you about 90-100k

Exactly! Nobody every mentions this! Snell costs 45K on top of the 3 cards you get that I easily sold for 45K. So he’s really 90K. Hard pass.

Snell is my hardest SP to hit this year. Not sure why, but I really struggle with his delivery. FOTF Snell is my nightmare. And for some reason I have been struggling righty vs lefty already.

I will agree that I could not touch Snell. I think I hate him more than Kluber. But I did smack a late-inning HR off Snell, but still lost 5-1. But I sold all the winnings and have no intention of getting Snell. Maybe when I have a million stubs and just want to spend them freely I will buy the collection. PASSSSSS

Exactly how do you get that 95 Snell? The players program says you get a BIAH pack for completion. I must be missing something

I'd only do this if I wanted that card. I'm already at almost 550 program stars without finishing hernandez and only playing 1 online game (for the breakout innings).

I sold Giolito this morning for and received about 30K, probably sell Lux too. Kept Bichette because I like the jays....I’m going after Bellinger right now. Need him and trout to finish off collection and I can go back and collect the other cards.

Is anyone concerned that $D$ is going to start having these aggressive collections for some of these programs...kind of reminds me of 18 with the hats and jerseys.... collections should NOT be a mandatory part of these programs....they should only exists for those that prefer to pay the stubs as opposed to grinding missions or stats.... pretty disappointed with this program....and will feel even worse for people that spend now to get him just to have the packs release freely through other means - ie 4th inning program or conquest maps.....seems questionable all around

Sell the player reward picks, and buy the 2nd inning bosses. You get 15k (I think) stubs for the voucher, besides the 70 program stars. If you already had one of the bosses, and sold the player rewards to complete the voucher, you come out ahead on stubs as well.

    That's a decent idea there 😀

Monthly Awards have been treated this way since their inception prior to this year. I struggle enough against his FOTF card, I’d prefer this one stays rare. However, I don’t remember those being tied to Programs, so I get where you’re coming from. I’ll take the 50k or so doing the missions and selling. As for the people that spent now, they did the same with the prospect collection, so they’ll probably do the same with this one.

We already bought the game, we should not have proper content held back behind a paywall. They really should make it so you can finish by grinding. Forcing people to pay for content to stay competitive in the meta is something that has already been shouted down in every other genre of game, why would baseball be different? People who pay the stubs to get this card have a competitive advantage over other players, shame on you SDS. You are taking the fun aspect of collecting out of the equation and making it about your corporate greed. Gross.

Lol - bro this card does not give a competitive advantage, he has two other cards one is an 87 and just as good and 100% grindsble

They're not. I reached 300* yesterday without the Snell program.

....and will feel even worse for people that spend now to get him just to have the packs release freely through other means - ie 4th inning program or conquest maps

... then ... don't buy the cards now if you know freebies are coming eventually? I'm not, just like I didn't buy any Prospects.

    .....seems questionable all around

Your post seems rather questionable, if we're being honest.

I think SDS is going to combine all these collections ( Postseason, All Star and such) into a bigger reward (like Honus Wagner last year)
