    He would have been 60 today.

    Only struck out 3 times in a game just ONCE.

    I'm surprised he played in more than 150 games in a season just 5 times in 20 years. Can't imagine what his numbers would look like if he was healthy.

    They had a tribute today for Mr. Padre on MLB network. All of his best and memorable games. Was fun to watch

    No doubt. Between him and Griffey, they were like the big easy Ernie Els, when it comes to effortless swings.

    Absolutely but both very different. Gwynn had a gift of finding a hole anywhere on any pitch. I’m convinced they could place pails in the outfield and he’d hit the ball in them. Griffey wasn’t all pure power but the fact he crushed so many homeruns with that sweet and effortless swing was something to behold
