Blake Snell program

Not only the collection aspect, but once again the sliders seem jacked.

I’m thinking this is an error. Remember the George Brett program to start the year?
What was wrong with that?
-
At launch it required collecting diamond bat skins to unlock a gold player. They added like a 3 point mission to negate that requirement later.

I think they added an extra mission or moment so you could complete Brett for free. Originally, you had to lock in 3 bat diamond skins. And they were all really expensive that early in the game cycle, and I think we may only have gotten 1 freebie from the 1st inning.

Yup, I'm not going to bother, I'll get the 90 points possible and be done with it. Maybe in a few months if I have tons of stubs.

Oh well, with 60 control he can go kick rocks
You are really perturbed about the pitching lately. What was the final straw? BR run? RS? Or just realize it wont be fixed.

All of the above honestly.

It has to be something they overlooked. It doesn't make sense to have to complete the collection with the other missions available.

No, not exactly. Monthly programs in the past required you to collect the other monthly cards to get the program card.
But with a FotF card already, no way I care about getting that Snell card at that price tag.
-
It's a program that allows the user a choice. I like it. Complete the program and keep your free rewards and use on your squad. Complete the program and sell your rewards and gain free stubs. Or, complete the program and lock in the three cards you earn and then buy three more off the market and lock them in to get your 95 snell. Theres literally no reason to complain. Not to mention, the cards will only dip in price so the collection will get cheaper but not on day 1. These packs may eventually become available in reward paths in the future. if you have to have the snail card today then you will have to spend some stubs. If you have patience you can probably get him for close to free and a month or two. Or just complete the program and take your 40,000 stubs.

And they changed the monthlies for better.

they only change them this year because there's no season. They would have followed the same protocol had there been a season. This was just their way of releasing content and keeping people busy and still giving out decent cards which I thought was pretty cool.

Snell only costs roughly 30k after collections. Do the moments plus collection and innings, you will get a semi final card to sell back for 30k. You will also get 9ish packs and balln is a habit. Not to bad imo

Just realized you have to do the collection to get Blake Snell. Smh, so much for getting Blake Snell. Lol
That is just a stupid requirement.
I'm renaming it the Ian Happ program. That's my goal now. A power, switch-hitting outfielder that can play two infield positions, too. Blake who? -
It says stage 1.....maybe stage 2 will give more opportunities for points?

I'm also curious if there is a stage 2. Has anyone got that far to confirm if there is another stage?

Pretty sure your math is way off. You get three cards for free, two of the quarter finals and one semi final. You still need to buy the other two quarter final cards and the other two semi final cards. That is approximately 75,000 stubs currently, and you won't be able to sell any of them. I do agree that the BIAH packs make this a little more worth while, and I'd definitely do it if it was closer to 50,000 stubs. But, 75,000k for what would be my fifth starter seems crazy. I mean, he'll be the first card to go once a better starter comes along.

I have a H2H squad and a grind squad. Some teams are harder to grind innings with than others because there just aren't that many serviceable cards I want on my grind squad (Blue Jays, Orioles, Rangers). The rest of the cards are 'meh' at best. A second Snell diamond is not a prize I am seeking out, but if the rest of the cards magically fall into my lap (drop to QS value) I'll get them.
